Tacko Smart Card Help...?

I have my Module 4 on the 8th of next month and was wondering what I do about a tacko smart card. Do I apply for it and if so can I apply for it now or is that just a waste of time. I’ve searched the forums but came up with no real explanation on what I should do as a new Cat C driver. I also have no work yet but was trying to get everything in order.

I expect I’m getting ahead of myself here and one of the trainers will put me right in a few minutes :slight_smile:

Yes go for it mate £38 it takes about 10days 2 weeks to come through … I went to my local DVLA at preston and filled forms in payed cash there and then. i dont think you will have to have the mod 4 test first anyway … so by the time it comes you will have passed that anyway … :laughing: lol then you have to find out how to use it ( not that hard ) Wrams . you know your truck sims game well belive it or not there is a simulater on line for digi tach learning as well … i cant remember the web address but i got mine off a link on here some where. but you can practice with that untill you come to use the real one … :laughing: that way you wont be like I was 1st time ALL FINGERS AND THUMBS . :blush:

Thanks mate I will Google Digi Tacko Simulator and see what comes up. I don’t live that far away from the DVLA in Bristol and I know where it is from changing my logbook over for my Jag before I sold her.

Thank you for the link. I have printed it off and shall be sending it soon so I have everything sorted and ready for my job hunting once my mod 4 is completed. :slight_smile:

I have now :wink: Thank you mate I appreciate it. :slight_smile: It’s hard to find stuff online unless you go to websites that then try to charge you for there printable data. It ■■■■■ really that the DVLA don’t provide more litriture on the mod 4. I looked on there site and .gov and all I got was error 404’s saying the page no longer exists.

Anyway I’m grateful to you for your help and will let you know when I get my DTSC back :wink:
