Here is a picture of Bob Poggiani’s Scammell Scud.
I took this photo when we were stuck at the Telex Motel in Ankara, en route to Doha, waiting for the Gulf War to start.
It was a real flying machine and had a Jake brake too.
That Barretts & Baird eight legger looks something,I notice the cab is set forward and lowered,so it might not be as high as it looks.
Nuttals,now there’s a name from the past,came from Rochester or somewhere I think.

I drove a Leyland Roadtrain for Tesco’s with a rolls royce engine (some were badged perkins) it never broke down and they kept them till they were scrapped, the fleet went all scania after that.

just looked up barker & allen,they were as it says on the door opposite dudley road hospital b-ham and along with several other companies were taken
over by delta copper refiners
