My wife has just bought me a tomtom one . On the power lead that plugs in to the lighter socket it says : input 12/24 v Does this mean that i can plug it straight into mr car and truck without any other device.

I would say yes as it sounds like the mobile phone hands free plug in I have where it automatically recognises the voltage used.
yes to both …but dont rely onit in a truck for directions like whot i did this week in germany and holland yep you guesswd it straight to a 3.6 metre low bridge
so keep youre maps handy too
As long as its the proper TT power lead then it’s fine with either 12 or 24 volts and you can plug it into the unit or the mount to!
