quick diary

Was due to run a older wooden 40 footer down to Port St Louis, but that was
cancelled at the last moment when the loaders noticed a crack in the boats keel.
So ran out empty on the Monday night Caen boat. Manged to get to the routier
at juntion 41, fifty kms before this beauty.

After a good night in the routier, plenty of the rouge and the food was spot on
although i did pass on the cows tounge.
Arrived at Port St Louis just before lunch, and found the yacht to go back.

Set up the trailer before lunch.

And then went into town for lunch with the loaders, a great bunch of guys
So feeling slighty tired after a large lunch returned to the yard to load the boat.

Put the mast on first up the side of the trailer and then the boat. Manged to get
her lower than 4.20 which made the pilot cars job easier when choosing the route back. As she was 3.70 wide the french decree you need a pilot car so no peage or motorway on the way back.

Stayed in the marina over night, and set off 6 french the next day. Managed to get back into Caen, but 6 Friday evening unale to get on the night boat so caught the Saturday morning one. Dropped the trailer in upton upon severn
ready for delivery to north wales on monday.

I like the look of that job, my old boss use to do it many years ago. He had an old D series Ford pulling a trailer and spent many months away touring round carrying Gin Palaces :stuck_out_tongue:

I could mix my hobby with pleasure

nice pictures again, cheers
