O Licence advertisment

After a bit of advice.

I’m looking to set up an operating centre in a small village in South Yorkshire. I’ve contacted public notices about placing the advert in the Sheffield star but they have said the penetration rate (oo er) isn’t high enough as it’s only 1.49%. Which is fair enough.

However, there are already several applications posted in the Sheffield Star. I contacted vosa and explained but the lady on the phone just said to google NS Database and put the area in to see but this is no help as it just says the local papers inc free advertising ones!!!

If I place it in the Star is the application likely to be refused as the circulation isn’t high enough even though others have advertised in it?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sent you a pm. Might be able to help.

Any paper your local council advertise in will be suitable.

The newspaper themselves will be able to tell you whether they are able to publicise O licence applications.
