Driving around the southside of the M25 this morning near jnc 9 I noticed they are putting in a new slip road,and there seems to be a lot of excavation work going on in the field.
I was wondering if anyone knows what they are doing.? I thought they might be making a parking area for the olympics, a park and ride type of thing.There seems to be something similar on the northern side near South Mimms.

It is a new service area,it’s going to be called Chobham and its going to be run by extra. I was wondering what was being built near south mimms though.
With the fuel run by Shell.
There is a works sign in the cones that directs works traffic to new service area.

It is quite close, but between the M23 and M40 is a very busy stretch of the M25 and there are no service areas.
the bit near south mimms is just the muck tip for the widening work as far as i know.
