Groovy Gregs thread about SPEC cameras reminded me of this.
Just past J14 on the M4 westbound there is a fairly new camera over the middle lane on a bridge. If you travel at night you see two glowing red dots either side of the camera.
Since there is only one such camera for miles to see I take it it is not an average speed camera. The two ‘eyes’ either side of normal average speed cameras appear dull red, but don’t glow red as these do. No warning signs near it or ‘camera on test’ signs either.
Anyone else seen it and know what it’s for?
