HGV test for fun

Hi

I’m a hospital doctor and (I know this is odd) want to do my cat c+e for fun. I have no plans to drive for money.

How much will this crazy idea set me back and are there any decent instructors in merseyside?

Thanks!

It will cost you upwards of 1000-1500 and there is a list in this forum of all recommend trainers.

Unless you already have Cat C on your license you will have to take that first before you can gain the provisional entitlement to drive C+E.

As Sam said there are several recommended schools listed by county.

If you just want to drive one for fun, many schools have off road driving sessions for Articulated Lorries which does not require the category on your license

Hope this helps

Ok that’s serious cash! I think I’ll start with the one off and take things from there. Thanks!
