HC Wilson of Elmswell

Seeing as they are now my new employer, does any one have any stories of hopefully pics of old Wilson trucks, some lovely old pics of 141’s 112’s 142’s and old daf’s, can any one add any thing please? Pics would be marvellous!!

Good luck with the job, you will probably meet my dad somewhere along the way, he drives for S.M Parris whos yard is behind Wilsons (with Mike Tasker), try doing a google search for the pics you want, as there are loads of them on the internet, Wilsons also have their own website, also have a look in the photo forum on here and try using the search facility on here.

HC’s website is at:
http://www.hcwilson.com and click on the ‘gallery’ button.

also, try this one:

which also has a gallery of Tasker’s black Scanias, he pulls a lot for HC’s:

My mate used to live on Ashfield Road at the end of Grove lane in the 70’s, and we used to watch the old trucks coming in & out of the yard.

The old 141 is probably their most famous truck as it’s restored and does all the shows.

You also ought to have a look at Kindle’s thread about his time working for Piglet in the yard next door:
