just looking for abit of info on the above ie second hand price, i,m looking for an average mileage vehicle doesnt matter to much about the cab exterior as it would be painted anyway as long as it was mechanically sound, seen a few bits and pieces advertised but the the prices seem to vary wildy for what would seem to be the same spec of vehicle, any pointers as to how much i should be looking to pay ?
also whats the 530 engine like in terms of reliablity, anything i should be wary of?
Not so sure on prices but reliability wise, very good, check for headgasket watermarks between head and block and between the heads. Do you need a 530? 480 is same engine with different ECU programming and should see slightly better fuel economy for not very much power difference in real life terms. Also try and find an ex R and M vehicle as these will have been dealer maintained.
