Being banned from an rdc etc

one of my friends got barred from a building site last week for 3 weeks for squaring up to a knob of a foreman who [zb] him about - to me that was a bit ott!

so wondered what people on here have done (no matter how seemingly trivial you though it was) that got them banned from an rdc/building site etc etc

cheers
CC

I got banned from a building site the other week because i was wearing shorts :unamused:
He said if you aint wearing trousers you aint coming in

Mates of mine on international would purposely tip over pallets in Liddle RDC’s to get banned -for life .

got banned from fowler welch stockport by the little hitler warehouse manager .{called michel}
i was booked in at on a friday 10am i arrived at 10.40 due to hold ups on m6
he told me wait so i did got to. 1pm i went back and asked if they were tipping me and he said
{with a attitude}
we will get to you when we can could be monday so i told him to get [zb]ed i wernt stopping there till then
he then replied your barred

i am banned from Sainsburys Stoke on Trent after 6 hours for 1 pallet 12 boxes of the same stuff.Had the keys but no paperwork so i left.Got to the gate house asked for my gate pass hadnt got it was told you cant leave with out it so i said watch me jumped in truck and just kept edging towards the new barrier and it opened lol.
10 minutes later a call from my boss saying i was banned for life oh well was the reply
was back in there the next week lol no questions asked

I was banned from a chemical works in Belgium for 12 months for allegedly assaulting a plant worker when in reality I just pulled him backwards off my new trailer when he broke the kemler board and spilled toxic chemical over the paintwork

The funniest thing was that we were both dressed in green chemical suits, yellow wellingtons, hard hats, gloves and goggles, they let me wash the truck down, tip and then escorted me off site. It got me out of a boring job, 2 Antwerps a day were enough to do my ■■■■ in anyway.

How long have you got?

I’d be easier to ask me what places I’m not banned from.

 not yet, sooner or later though :unamused:

is that the one when you had to get your mate out to tip it for you.
and when he had tipped it he got barred aswell for gunna smash his head in for been a ■■■■■■ :unamused: :unamused:

Got banned from a builders merchants in Gravesend for a while, accidently dropped a pack of paving while tipping, was left to clear up the mess on my own and then they wanted me to take the load back because I refused to take the broken pack with me, got into a huge row when they refused to sign my delivery notes so I told them to get (zb)d kicked the broken pack over and told em “now you pick it up” got in the cab and drove off. They call my boss and tell him they never want me to deliver there again.

Funnily enough they recentley moved to a bigger site in Northfleet and I’ve delivered there four times now without any hassle

If everybody got banned from everywhere it would make the job a lot easier…

Not been banned yet, but have been spoken to a couple of times by a ■■■■■■ of another co that shares the yard. Doesn’t like me walking across “his patch” (even using the correct lanes, although I can drive a unit across it) it to get my unit. Spoke to my transport lot and they say it’s alright to walk across. Can’t wait to see ■■■■■■■ again, he was threatening to get me banned the second time…

(funny to get the variation of pancake flipper using a pot rather than a pan censored when the pancake flipper himself is okay)

I got banned for life from Lidl Runcorn!!! only prob was i worked from there at the time :unamused: We didnt quite see eye to eye on doing early morning deliverys to some of the more desireble locations on my own

Managed to get myself a lifetime ban from Toscos, delivering shelving during a refit at the Wellingborough store.Arrived late through no fault of my own, shelves hadn’t been painted when I’d turned up at the suppliers to hook a" pre-loaded trailer".Was doing a weekend favour for a mate,he’d said collect the load in Crewkerne at 9a.m. Sunday morning and tip at the store by 3p.m.,giving me plenty of time to get back to Wells for my day job on the Monday morning, supposedly!
When I eventually arrived in Wellingborough at 10p.m. on the Sunday evening, the fitters were less than pleased,I was totally hacked off, then some jumped up security guard got the hump with me for waking him up,that was the straw that finished my day,he got a gob full and by the end of the week I’d got my lifetime ban.
They don’t have Toscos in Canada (yet) so who cares ?

When I was on deep sea boxes I got myself banned from the 3 worse tips we did, 5hr handballs after waiting 3 or 4 hrs to get in, can’t earn any money doing that crap, but you have to take them, as long as you’re not banned  I just used to have a major attitude problem with them & really wind them up, I quite enjoyed it to be honest  When they told me I was banned I always asked for confirmation in writing so that I never had to visit their ■■■■■■■■■■■ again :sunglasses:

Im barred from Smithkline beecham in Montrose. the roads in the plant are just the same width as your normal roads in a town except there are also overhead gantrys that carry pipes. on the way out i came to a T junction, looked right clear looked left clear pull out and use the full road.

Get to the gate house and the security guard says that the H S bloke has called him and told him that he is to give me a warning for crossing over the white lines down the centre of the road when i exited the junction.

“Get him down here then and ill explain to him the reason why i did that” says i he said “no” so i told him that the truck stays at the barrier until i speak to this H S clown and i take a seat on the bench against the wall.

The guard picks up the phone speaks for a few seconds then hands me it. this nugget on the other end tells me that i was driving dangerously because i crossed the white lines, so i ask him what his experience of driving an hgv is as expected the answer was none. so i told him he was a tool who had obviously been promoted beyond his abilities because
If he cant figure out that an artic needs a bit more room than a car then he should send his licence back to Swansea . i then told him that i would be quite happy to keep within the white lines but im not taking any blame for running over the fire hydrants or for ripping down the overhead gantry as my back wheels cut the curner cut the corner.

He then told me that he would phone my company and tell them that i was barred, good i said im presuming that you can write a little bit so here is my name and my bosses phone number.

My boss phoned me later to ask what i had done so i told him and he agreed with me that the bloke was indeed a tool

So you ripped down a gantry and ran over a load of fire hydrants but the H&S man is a “tool”? Am I missing something here… :open_mouth:

Yes Rob, you are!

got seen in the cab with my head in an awkward posistion

I think Rog, (Sorry Rob) slightly misread the post :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not sure about this one

When I had my own truck we had a regular job up to Rowallen Creamery in Kilmarnock, the margarine manufacturer took three loads per day, 8am, 2pm and 10pm, obviously the 8 am slot meant an early start and we used to leave Hull about 2am as traffic was light across the A66 and up the A74. There was an overpowering H&S man there who refused to let a driver sleep in his cab, not even sit back with your eyes closed for 5 minutes while you tipped.

We tried all sorts of tricks to put him off, from matchsticks in the eye lids, to arriving 15 minutes late, whatever we did triggered a written warning from our customer, 3 strikes and he banned you off site. His answer was to stop us tipping and go and park up across the road in the Hotel car park. I am sure he got his lug filled once or twice and probably the lads who tipped you did as they were under threat of losing their job if they allowed us to have 40 winks.

We eventually found the reason for this stupid man’s rule, it was a Belgian or Dutch driver who had died unexpectedly in his cab and the security man didn’t notice for two days :unamused:
