I’ve noticed night road closures gradually getting worse the last few weeks. It took me half an hour to get out of Peterborough and onto the A1M south a couple of weeks ago - a route normally taking 5 minutes. There was a diversion on a diversion without diversion signs! Lorries were everywhere.

It’s that time of year again where local councils need to use up their budgets before the new financial year. We’ve got at least 2 more months of this. So make sure you’ve got your maps, and perhaps even a sleeping bag.
