ADR ?

hi

I saw someone today and he said as a word in my ear I should get ADR as it would hugely benefit me (obv, cant say more here lol) …

couple of questions

  1. how long does it take to do?
  2. cost? (i’ll self fund then not tied to a company)
  3. who does it in the scunthorpe area??

Si,
I don’t know what your employment situation, but I am with Driver Hire Grimsby, Lincoln and Scunthorpe, Pm me for mor details.
They do offer ADR training, but as with any other employer, there will be a charge or employment requirement, probably with a reducing financial price.
You can’t lose anything by giving them a ring and asking.

i have got adr done through our company,it lasts a week.cost at a guess 200 pounds minimum, as for your area make some calls to local companies.

hi mate found this web site for company that does ADR down south
www’friendberry.co.uk they are based in devon cornwall area but the site has a map which covers from aberdeen-plymouth and it has an e-mail address so you can e-mail and get more info.some courses start at £100.give them a shot good luck :laughing:

Hiya,
I did ADR last August in Manchester with Hargreaves Training - I believe they hold training courses in other parts of the country also. The total cost will depend how many “classes” you want on your certificate - if you want to do them all in Tanks and Packages (other than in tanks), (excluding Explosives and Radioactives which are specialist courses) it will probably cost you around £400’ish - I think I paid about £410 including daily lunches and exam fees. It is a full week mon-fri and all the hours you spend on the course do count as duty hours for tacho purposes I believe. The certificate is valid for 5 years - if you want to know more about what is involved etc let me know I will be happy to help.

Currently in the middle of doing ADR, its taking me 2 weekends of tuition and the exam. The tanks which are extra are on 2 weekdays. The total cost is approx £300.
