7.5t question

Can someone please give me some info regarding to 7.5t signs. As far as I am aware and from my CPC, if there is a road that shows a 7.5t sign with no instructions below it I cannot, no matter if I have a delivery (26t rigid), go down it.

If it states below said sign ‘except for loading, access, unloading’ then one is ok to go down there.

Am I right?

Ta

You are correct.
One is usually in place because of physical restrictions like a weak bridge or roadway .
The other is to stop the route becoming a rat run for large HGVs

Many thanks. One of the questions asked was ‘Well, what if someone is moving house and a truck needs to go down’?
