Tyre age and cracking between tread and carcass

I took the truck into the fitters expecting to drive away with new drive tyres, but they they said that the old retreads were absolutely fine and should be good for many miles/years. I’m impressed that they’d do themselves out of a sale for the sake of giving an honest opinion.

I reckon i wont be the only one thinking thats going to come back and bite you in the arse.

It’s fine it’s caused by the capping flexing it’s not really cracking the integrity is fine and it’s not where the capping joins the casing.
Bit of an environmental waste to change unnecessarily really.

This is one of the problems we are coming across just recently on Bandvulc remoulds BT08 version traction tyres inners only doing this.
