Yes, they offer tramping if you want it. I was a newbie and went tramping straight away.
You can request your preference, but you will get what you’re given. It does no harm to ask. I had no preference, so they dumped me with a scania. Nice truck tho

You’ll get given whatever motor is available. Just remember though you might be living in it all week but someone else will drive it on the weekend when you’re off. That’s the issue with these big firms it’s much better at a smaller operator who has a one driver one truck policy.
