The Harry Gill Fan Club!

Great to see you back on the thread harry , and also good to know that the boss is responding to her treatment . Be very careful with the hoover thingy , they can be an unpredictable beast if you aren’t fully trained , just do the bits you can see . Don’t worry about the dusting , after the first week or two it doesn’t look any worse , and keep up the single malt medication you need a good sleep to cope with housework . Have a very happy new year both of you , Dave

Now then old lad, how are things going ? it’s been a week or two since we heard from you.

Hiya,
Well nice to see the HGFC being given a prod by your good self GOM I really can’t
put much on here unless I’m prompted it would be like talking to myself if I was
to add my rubbish, but it’s nice to see that someone is wondering if I’m still alive
GOM a happy new year to you and yours. My missus had her last chemo two days
before Christmas day which does leave her quite down and myself having been
through the chemo thingy myself am very understanding of her discomfort and
try to keep her spirits up and later this week she starts her sessions of radio
therapy but the after effects of this treatment aren’t so uncomfortable as the
chemo was or so they say, I didn’t have that treatment, Now if anyone else is in
doubt if this old “coffin dodger” is still not “boxed up” I’m not and I’m here to wish
you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR.
thanks harry, long retired.

Best wishes to you and your family Harry. Regards Kev.

Morning Harry,

Hiya,
Thanks “pete smith” Mrs Gill has had her two lots of surgery and completed
her chemotherapy and is currently being troubled with an infected breast
which will have to be cleared up before she can start her sessions of radio-
therapy which has been postponed until February the 10th should’ve been
started on January the 23rd so she’s currently on a course of antibiotic’s to
sort things out, The top pic I remember well having been a Bowker driver it
was a permanent night trunker and I did on one occasion shunt it when my
own motor was being serviced, I think it was only a 6LW job and was able
to do London in the allotted 10 hours and Bill Bowker was sticking with that
I could have happily torched it my own Atki having a 220 ■■■■■■■ built in.
thanks harry, long retired.

I’m surprised that the moderators have allowed Pete to post a photo of that Bowker’s Atki on your page, H. It must have brought back painful memories of that day you were shown a hose pipe.

Regards to Mrs G.

I thought Pete was being a bit naughty showing him pictures of a clean motor. He’s an old man Pete and you shouldn’t be upsetting him like that.

HARRY… please pass on our best wishes to the lovely Mrs Gill, tell her to keep fighting.

Hi GOM,
I have be be very careful of the pictures I send Harry as I have had a visit by the North Durham Mafia about some pictures of those Scania 80’s!! So it is only Atki’s from now on!

Hiya,
Yes Pete and it was me in the balaclava wielding the “gas axe” there was
more pull in my chat-up lines than there was in those 80s crap heaps.
thanks harry, long retired.

That is why you are on “pukka lorries” from now on Harry!, Cheer’s Pete

Hiya,
Pete, by pukka lorries I do hope you mean Atkinson with a sizeable ■■■■■■■
engine built in, or it can bide in the yard. Oh’ and big thanks from Mrs Gill for
your kind thoughts and words you’ve cheered her up no end.
thanks harry, long retired.

it’s been a while since we heard from you Harry , how are you keeping ? And also how is the lovely Mrs Gill coping with her treatment ? Please give her all our best wishes and hopes for a speedy recovery , and you take care of yourself . Regards , Dave

Hope Mr Gill and management are doing OK, best wishes from Yorkshire.
Ey oop Harry (and Mr Dunbar)…as you know I enjoy a taste of Islay whisky (although I’ve just made very short work of a bottle of Talisker…splendid stuff), well Aldi have got an Islay on the shelves at the moment ‘Glen Marnoch’ Islay. £17.99 a bottle. Don’t bother looking for Glen Marnoch, there’s no such place but at £17.99 for a bottle of Islay it’s got to be worth a try.

Hiya,
Well gentlemen I have been rather busy attending hospital with the Missus for
the last month she had her final radiotherapy last Thursday and they’ve told
her she may not be feeling too well for a few weeks while the area of the
radiotherapy was done it needs time to settle down and will get rather sore
until it, but telling her you are asking about her will cheer her up, thank you.
thanks harry, long retired.

Did see something on f/b about it as well as the pictures she was looking well on them considering take care ■■

Hiya,
Just stopped this lot from going off the edge after our old pal the late
Dave the Renegade went to the trouble of setting it away the least I
can do is stop it falling into oblivion so hello folks.
thanks harry, long retired.

Hiya,
Kev, I’ve spent more time visiting hospitals just lately Chester le Street,
Durham and Bishop Auckland now it’s back to Chester for the outcome,
it’s like I’ve almost lived there and so far they’ve told me nothing, they
have even tested me for the miners ailment dust on the lungs and I was
only a miner up to age 21 when I was old enough to drive HGV’s but if
having worked in very dusty conditions which I did you can become
affected in only a couple of years, so I guess it’s a case of wait and see.
thanks harry, long retired.

Hi Harry .
Weve both jumped ship for a few minutes . Take care ,.... and dont stop breathing , old lad .

Cheers , cattle wagon man .
