Another Berliet TLM 10 with its Coder tank trailer from well known Onatra firm.
Froggy…pic 2. It looks like a Ford 4D from the late '5O’s, but it’s not, but could it be a Hotchkiss from the same era ?..
Fergie47:
Thanks Paul…interesting old lorries there, as for the 2CV, the young nipper looks familiar, think it might be that whippersnapper ? In tying to chat the girls up, didn’t get out of the van in time, so ended up in Cannes… he’s still trying to work his way home, only got as far as Holland so far…
A comfortable bunk… and two lassies… what more can a whippersnapper wish for…
Right, I’ll get me coat…
The Port of Karachi in the 60s.
Bedfords everywhere. They used to be so popular in the Far Flung.

Not a Hotchkiss, but indeed why not Ford or eventually an Opel Blitz, though the latter had its windcsreen in one piece. I’ll try to know more…

Cheers Johnny… always liked them, few and far between in the UK, mostly Dutch, German, and Northern European hauliers, but that was down to legislation on weights, and lengths I guess…that F12 looks the dogs…

Don’t see much of those wag ‘n’ drags anymore nowadays… started on a wag ‘n’ drag after passing my class 1, was quite a difference after passing my test with an artic. If you just went forwards it was quite nice to drive with, but reversing it…well, that was quite something different indeed! That’s where they seperate the wee lads from the men, I reckon a certain Fergie would say…
Anyway, by the time I got used to it, I left that firm and never drove a wag ‘n’ drag again, pity though, the driving comfort was absolutely grand, bit like a coach like.
Found some more pic’s of wag ‘n’ drags, with the occasional artic thrown in, all fitted with a sleeping pod…don’t know why, but I always thought those cabs fitted with a sleeping pod looked the bee’s knees, never have driven one though, can imagine you weren’t too chuffed about it when you were away weeks on end in such a “tiny” cab…

I only had the “privilege” once. I was definitely a “wee lad” when it came to reversing. I was all over the place before i finally got the trailer on the loading bay. My respect for the regular wag ‘n’ drag drivers went up a lot that day.
