Well done Keith! I was beginning to think along the lines of trailer repairers that ran their own units! Cheers, Robert

Gday Robert - Swallow’s were a small transport company from Beaconsfield / Amersham area - European hanging meat specialists - my Dad bought a trailer off them during their transition to Caddies, unfortunately it was a dud.
Cheers Keith

Baxters Atkinson.
I wondered why this reg was familiar, and yet the motor was last taxed in September 1983, but then I realised why:
I don’t know where either started life, but 263 seems to have been re-cabbed at some point

Thanks for the comments and pic Chris.

Professor:
I think the blue and white ERF is one of John Marshall’s from Wickenbrook Suffolk the firm is no longer trading

Thanks “Professor”

Thanks for the pic John. That cab from what you can see looks in remarkably good condition, and does not appear
to have much rust in and i see the windows have been left up which means the interior will have not been ruined.
Looks like it would be one for restoration.

Morning Trevor,
Mallon Brothers, that is a blast from the past! Did they work out of Kronospan Chirk? Did they have a place on Prees airfield? Seem to recollect loading some shavings or bark from there? Cheer’s Pete

Morning Dean,
Cracking set of photo’s mate,
The Bedford is from Newport Shropshire and judging by the registration number was probably supplied by Adams of Tipton, sorry I cannot make out the name on the cab either, Cheer’s Pete

Looks like AJ McNiel but defo a Mc summit, Buzzer.

Good morning Dean,
I was just wondering if this is Jim Clark from Thatcham, Berkshire.
If so, he worked for Reeds Paper mill for many years then became an O/D for them, ending up with about 3 motors.
Yard was at the main road end of the road into the mill at Thatcham.
“or it could be another J Clark” :unamused: Harvey
