New driver.

Hi
Passed my rigid & artic resets a few months back. Plan on doing a few ad hoc jobs for a bit of extra cash now & again. I passed my test on a wagon & drag combination. Do you guys have any tips on driving artics over the wagon & drag combo

Watch out for the weekly rest regs if doing more than one job

Best bet is to find a trainer with an artic and have a couple of hours training. You may well have problems with coupling/uncoupling and positioning on approach to tight corners. It would be a couple of hours well spent.

Cheers. The hours won’t be an issue as I work offshore & can ensure plenty time off

I’ve managed to secure a few days unpaid as a 2nd man / co driver at a local firm. Just a bit apprehensive jumping into an artic having never driven ine
