Manchester CAZ/ZEZ

Carryfast:

Surprise surprise Manchester’s CAZ has been paused because not many can afford to upgrade their vehicles for cleaner vehicles in time because of high prices on the used market. I think every man & his dog could have seen this coming. fleetnews.co.uk/news/enviro … s-and-cost

Specifically high prices in the used market for petrol cars and worthless diesel trade in values because no one wants diesels …or EVs.
Bearing in mind petrol for us also provides better energy security.
Net zero is toast hopefully.

The UK’s ‘Green Deal’ is going through parliament right now to make changes to the environmental act notably the PM 2.5 particulate matter being reduced to PM-10 down from PM-20. airqualitynews.com/2022/03/16/b … d-by-2040/

If they enforce DPF delete by stricter MOT testing that will be the final nail in the rattling smoking heaps.
They’ll only be worth buying as petrol or EV conversion potential which values will be less than 4 figures or a grand at best to make the job worth doing.
Diesel sales for new and nearly new have totally collapsed anyway.
