Evening Len
Its been a long time now my dad alway’s spoke well of you. As a young lad i liked drinking the orange out the vending machine you had a Northfleet
and i never did get to say thank you for turning up at my dad’s funeral way back then.
Bob Gordon was my farther and i know you and him go way back, in good times and bad.
So thank you
and hope your keeping well
But his “Feather in our cap” Lives on with me and its nice for me to see it in so many of the photos i find on here and the internet
all the best
Now I remember!
My Dad painted this for Bob, I have another one somewhere in the loft will have to send you a picture when I get round to sorting it out, my dad also painted this one at the same time.
I had so many nights out with Bob when he worked for Wallis Haulage and even after when he was coach driving for Auto Reps all over England and aboard! We never missed the pub outings every year, they were full of many laughs and jokes there was never a dull moment. All of these special memories will live on in my mind and I will cherish them. Bob and I did go a long way back, right back to the late sixties right up until he passed.
Hope your mum is alright? I will put on a lot of more photos when my daughter is home as I have no idea how to work the computer.
