Excellent innovation - mapping tool

Blockchain.
I can’t really get my head around it completely but it’s going to change the world it seems, and our area of interest ( trucking and logistics ) is going to be among the first.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with the blockchain though :stuck_out_tongue:

I thought that’s what the little boxes were all about!
If you have a (very) simple way of explaining it I’d like to be able to haul it in!

So it’s like grid references for the thickos who run out of fingers?

Why don’t you try it and find out  :bulb:

Unless you’re only clever enough to [zb]talk other peoples posts of course…

I’m clever enough to have always been able to find where I need to find using a combination of maps, the Internet and speaking thanks.

It seems I was late to the party with this one! I saw another one mentioned plus.codes/ on another forum. They all basically do the same but it’s worth noting that pluscodes work directly in the googlemaps search box which is handy. Someone pointed out that what3words could go bust at any moment and take all the codes with them, rendering them all useless, which is a valid point. The other 2 are open source. Pluscodes is not as intuitive as what3words but probably the better solution long-term if you need to pinpoint a very specific location that a postcode won’t do.
