Met a really interesting bloke while waiting to clock out

Ex Marines WO1, ex SBS, Military Cross, Gulf wars, sparred with Marvin Hagler and Chris Eubanks. Yeah, proper interesting bloke. By the look of him it’s probably true, too.

in other news bigbird just passed his class 1 test and will be working for stobarts next week :grimacing:

Might of been the same guy I was double manned with once,Did he say he raced cars for Lamborghini as his main job (odd as he was about 20 stone, that’s not me being fattist…he just was),owned a 6 bed detached house with acres of land and only drove HGVs for a hobby?

I’m sure I shall find out more when I get to the clock tomorrow morning  He has an avid listener…I can’t wait

Bloody Hell, he‘s probably Agency, gets £25 per hour and only does 3 days a week [emoji205]

Gutted! He wasn’t in today, my first day back. Hope he’s in tomorrow, proper interesting fella

106 years old was he?

Nah, he’s a young chap, same age as me…ish.
Saw him today, no chance to talk, he was in and out of Compliance Office for a while carrying various printouts and swearing heavily
Hopefully, I’ll catch him at the clock tomorrow

There really are folks who just drive for a hobby. We’ve trained solicitors, doctors, accountants and even a vicar etc etc. In other words, the most unlikely. But, of course, there are those who can just tell a good tale.

Pete

Life they say : takes all sorts

Bumped into him this morning at the clock. As soon as he saw me he came across and, before even saying hello, he said “I used to be…”
I cut him off “Sorry Mick, gotta go me driver stuff on bay 6, catch you later, yeah”?
Let’s see if I can build up a head of steam on him
Tomorrow, he may be in, he may not, well see.
