Buses, coaches, & lorries

Liverpool Corporation acquired a large number of AEC Regent buses in 1949.
AEC A747 was one of many that had body framework by Weymann, and the
rest of the bodywork completed at the Corporation`s Edge Lane Works and
depot. They had a large number of skilled coachbuilders from the pre-war
days when they built their own trams This bus on route 77A from Hunts Cross
to Lime Street in Liverpool city centre has the later cream paint work around
the windows, so it must be in the early 1960s.
