Hi Ben,it was as I said and as I have stated in the past I can’t put pen to paper, so as far as this story goes it is now finished so don’t ask! That incident happened on Tuesday night and on Thursday night I came into the Millburn cafe there was half a dozen trunkers all sitting with long faces, I said who is for tea? nobody spoke, I said what have I done? still no reply,then somebody said (have you not heard about Jed (clampet) I said no, we heard he was killed on Tuesday night. I said you’re joking, I was in tears, I was very friendly with the big man. After a while I asked, Where did it happen? They said the Shap, I then told them the truth and they were going daft saying are you sure, are you sure and eventually everyone was happy. That is the middle bit of the story .
