I don’t think this is a straightforward question of size, although the size of a company may have an influence whether a company decides to set themselves up as a training provider.

There are a number of criteria that have to be met, then there are the approval fees to consider.

In-house is an option for companies but they’d need a training centre approval, plus at least five lots of seven hour courses in order that the whole thing can truly be in-house.

For some companies; the registration process and costs are a bit too much trouble, so they take the simpler option to outsource and send the guys to an established independent training provider.

It gets even better for the companies when the CPC can come at the same time as a ‘usable’ qualification, such as ADR.

There is also the option of contacting a training company to have them send a trainer to your location

This seems to work quite well and can work out cheaper for the company
