Anyone know what sort of hourly rate they offer for class 1?

There’s always a board advertising for class 1 drivers outside their current yard on Bolckow Road facing the A66. I’ve heard numerous times that their rates are, let’s say mediocre!
If you want day work, and have an ADR, you could be shuttling between CF Fertilisers’ nitram plant in Haverton Hill (the one with the huge concrete tower as clearly seen from the Tees Flyover) and the nearby quay on North Tees.
If you have the time, just pop into their yard and enquire within.
They will be moving to a new yard on John Boyle Road in the near future.

Just under £9 / hour for 40 hours, £10 odd overtime and Saturdays. Don’t know what Sunday rate is. £26 per night out.

And theres no shortage of drivers up here either to drive the wages up
So when the Tories bring the minimum wage upto £10.50 p/h, will the hauliers find a loophole?
