Had 2 (incidents) today when a box tautliner came round me on a motorway merge hacking up on the outside as I came round carrying adr load but when it came to the straight on the m/way I plodded past him at 54mph, always a few clicks off incase req

What’s a box tautliner? 
So someone overtook you when they were going faster than you, then at a later point you were travelling faster than them and overtook them, all without any incident other than 2 trucks passing each other?

Both on seperate m/ways at different times but both had been a good stretch behind me before we started the merge
When they ‘hacked’ round said bend did they hit you or anyone else?
Is this another case of outrage over absolutely nothing? What’s it got to do with you how someone comes round a bend?

So shall I click it up to 56mph just for a crack then
Non event really, if your slow on the bends due to weight etc there’s always someone who wants to crack on.
If your faster on the straights that’s great.
It’s not a race so it doesn’t matter, pointless maybe but doing stuff keeps ones wits about you.

I can’t really see what you are getting at either mate to be honest. Did the guy overtaking you do an unsafe manoeuvre or what.
There is usually a speed limit sign on a junction with a bend if deemed to be dangerous.
Whether he was actually ‘hacking it’ round or not would be depending on the severity of the bend or on just your personal opinion.
And…if you were travelling slower than him on said bend, and later built up speed to 54 and passed him, he was maybe only doing about 50/52 ish anyway.
