To you or I $250 seems like an awful lot of money. To a motor vehicle manufacturer it’s what they find behind the corporate settee. It’s more than likely offset against tax and is merely a smokescreen (pun intended) to prove their green credentials. Doubtless somewhere down the line they’ll benefit by way more than that headline figure.

Agreed it’s just pocket money as to what they’re up against! If all trucks need to reduce CO2 emissions by at least 30% by 2030 where are they going to get battery/hydrogen supplies from with that little amount of money in the space of 10 years?
