[. Can you find me any verifiable examples of an uninsured cyclist causing an unrecoverable loss?

Yes, my elderly aunt was knocked down from behind by a speeding cyclist who never stopped and made off as fast as he could go. Never did find out who it was. She was so traumatised that she was unable to go back to work after leaving hospital and died shortly afterwards.

Hence I hate adult cyclists so no crocodile tears from you.

You hate all cyclists cos a cyclist caused the death of your aunt? I asked for a verifiable example, what’s your aunt’s name?

peterm:
Then there was the little girl that was killed on the footpath outside of her front gate.

But when all said and done, there’s just no excuse for getting up the inside of an hgv when it’s turning left.

There has been no fatality caused by a cyclist as you describe. So you are making up dead children.

An apology from you for your attitude is required. Whats your thoughts on this guy not getting a jail sentence and getting away with murder? By all accounts he saw her and refused to move, using his bike like a weapon. Little girl/teenage girl. Doesnt matter. You’ve sunk to a new low to treat these deaths as almost irrelevant just because it doesnt fit your agenda.

this guy was VERY lucky not to kill this girl. Whats your thoughts on that? He only handed himself in because the cctv footage went viral. Otherwise he might never have been caught.

I distinctly remember a child getting killed by a cyclist on the footpath. I might however, have mixed it up for someone out here. The thing is I definitely remember it and I’m not in the habit of telling lies !

You are well thought of on here Peter, so I really wouldn’t concern yourself with the ramblings of roadmoron 66 mate.

File his views in your zzzzz folder alongside looking for ’ stray toe nail clippings ’ circa 1982.

No, you made it up. No cyclist has killed a child in those circumstances.

Rhiannon Bennet was 16, had been drinking Stella and was standing in the road:

A police spokesman has, however, revealed that Ms Bennett “was probably a few inches or a foot into the road.” That is precisely where Howard, and all other cyclists, is supposed to be, as near to the gutter as possible.

Rhiannon Bennet was not in the road. The second case was not a fatality, nor was it a hit and run, the cyclist remained ate the scene and it was the cyclist who went to the police.

So that’s two lies.

You claimed a cyclist killed a child on the pavement. Not true.

You claimed the second cyclist hurt the child in a hit and run. That’s not true either.

roaduser66:
Rhiannon Bennet was not in the road.

Correct. She was on the pavement where she was struck by a cyclist who shouted “im not moving” before knocking her down and killing her. None of the london deaths of cyclists were committed by a lorry driver who purposfully drove at them

Says quite clearly he fled the scene without stopping. I never said it was a fatality. Who’s making stuff up now? I said quite clearly it wasnt but very well could have been. It was luck that it wasnt.

roaduser66:
So that’s two lies.

You’re the only one who’s lied so far. Stop making things up

roaduser66:

No I didnt but nice use of diverting tactics to try to move things away. Thats three lies youve told in one post. Quite an achievment
The use of technicalities is a sure sign of a desperate man trying to cling on his sense of self rightousness in the face of overwhelming evidence.

roaduser66:

Your general attitude to these two incidents is frankly disgusting and shows you up for what you really are. An arrogant cycling nutjob with no interest in working together to improve safety but instead wishes to blame everyone else while ignoring the actions of his own group

I guess shaving one’s legs only provides so much entertainment before you find yourself logging onto a lorry forum to cycle troll. You secretly prefer it here don’t you because all the cycling forums are full of cretins anyway, so who’d notice trolling? A bit like the sport?

roaduser66:

I dislike cyclists because they’re antagnotistic, entitled, dictatorial ■■■■ knocking bulbends. Do you want a verifiable example?

So this pro cycling rag of yours, which roundly condemned this cyclist (something you’ve yet to do), suggests cyclists should ride as close to the gutter as possible? That’s completely against almost all other advice and common sense. Or do the rules change depending on which point you want to prove?

As I said, I’m not in the habit of telling lies. Here’s the same link, get your carer to read it for you. The girl that was killed was 17 not 16 as you erroneously stated. You really should get a life and stop trying to wind people up with your viscous lies and half truths the you manipulate to suit your own sick agenda. You’re nothing but a coward that hides behind his/her keyboard who wouldn’t say any of these things face to face. I couldn’t lose my cool with a sick, sad individual like you, so get that carer to read this to you .

Thanks EB, but if I’m well thought of, why don’t people keep taking the ■■■■ out of me ?

Cyclists may well be as dangerous to pedestrians as trucks are to cyclists.

The difference is though, that the truck isn’t travelling in a fashion “on the pavement” likely to harm anyone.

A cyclist hitting a pedestrian - isn’t doing so on the road though - it will likely be ON the pavement.

"People being killed BY cyclists then - is NO “Myth”. :frowning:

Youre so right. Ive had a look into some cycling forums and the number of complete self righteous lycra bell ends is unreal.
Some years back now when my youngest daughter was 6yrs old she was hit by a cyclist when we were leaving my mothers house, he flew by on the pavement which had to be at least 20mph and caught her a glancing blow knocking her against the brick wall, the missus saw to little Katie while i went after the cyclist who was furiously trying to get himself back on his bike to make escape.I managed to grab him by the scruff of the neck as he tried to peddle away but a good dig in the ribs brought him down and i held him there while the police and ambulance turned up. Luckily she only suffered cuts and bruises but it could have been a whole lot worse. Backed up by three witnesses bellend cyclist got 120hrs community service…needless to say i have little time for cyclists…

120 Hours, that was a bit harsh for nearly killing a girl: that’s what roadtwat’s going to say, as well as trying to make out that I and others are liars, just like him.
