reply to the yearly question yes i passed a class one/c+e test in one take but i started a the bottom driving class two’s first then after a short time on to class one’s the rule i am referring to is the rule yodel had in place two years holding of a hgv licence but like i said they all move the goal posts when it suits.
yes nds are advertising for driver out of Hatfield that’s where the contract started nds is a Hertfordshire based company you won’t be on a pay structure paye they use a loop hole in the employment law like most others pay you on a micky mouse self employed basis through there Owen pay roll company but classed separate.

I got a text from them a few weeks ago offering a seasonal rate of £12 to £15 ph, normal rate is £10.25 days and £11.25 nights. It’s all self employed or umbrella because NDS stopped offering PAYE work last year. If you’re any good then you will get plenty of hours including weekends if you want them. It’s the usual parcel type work so plenty of trailers swops and bulk collections from customers as well as trunking.
incorrect they may be offering that rate but the rate is £10.00 per hour and very little overtime.
£15.00 per hour went well over 16 months.

I can see from your posts that you do not like them but I cannot see how if you are offered £12 to £15 they only pay £10.
being offered a rate and what you acsurly get are two separate issues that’s just a add to get you interested take a job with them and find out.
Sounds like that control tower is a waste space. Brighton08 are you there for the festive period ?

If they don’t pay the rate then I would just say goodbye that applies for all jobs though. It’s a drivers market down here at the moment so they can’t afford to muck you about.
does any one know what’s happening with that cow boy outfit contact transport at garretts green and eberspacher/unipart cov the mungrals went in to liquidation ages back but they still seem to be coming up for air i think it’s just a matter of time now they are trying to pay off the creditors still some mortgages outstanding ect ?

re yodel, if vosa was to check all the reality trailers they would have a field day i ain’t seen one with out a air leak yet, 90% of them are on there arse after standing for a short time takes about 10 minutes to build up air and yodel have the audacity to cross examine you on idling on a debrief with that sense of arrogance. one other point yodel should not be calling drivers up on there personal mobiles to ask them a question , professional company’s don’t do that if you was involved in a road traffic collision whilst on the phone they would be held accountable as well
A professional driver wouldn’t answer the phone if he was driving!
it may be a woman driving
I’ve never seen a Yodel hgv driver ‘taking it steady’, always going flat out, any ideas why?
