no i seen the light i work for someone who appreciates me now, but i know what still goes on i have mates in there, a another issue smocking in trucks, they knowingly allow drivers to smoke some drivers religiously smoke in the trucks leaving all deviance the strong smell of cigarette smoke and tobacco ■■■ ash and rolling tobacco all over the dash board and even leaving a lighter in the truck and rolling papers, if reported nothing in done even knowing who’s just had the truck last, a new law was passed to protect worker it is illegal to smoke in a sheared company vehicle and for a company to knowingly allow smoking .
up date on yoel wednesbury, lost’s of ■■■■■■ off drivers have left, now they are doing driver assessments around the clock even doing them at around 2am they are passing driver when some should be failed to make up the numbers for the peak period.
Apparently there are a lot of people there I used to work with at another firm who had a depot in Wednesbury. How to put this diplomatically … I didn’t have a particularly high opinion of them then and I can’t imagine they’ve changed much.
I used to go into Yodel back when it was City Link, about ten years ago. They had me in on standby: I turned up, showed my face at the office and they said “give us your mobile number and go and find somewhere to sit, we’ll give you a ring if there’s anything to do.” So I found the canteen, sat with a coffee and my book for eight hours, and at four in the morning the phone rang and they sent me home. Next night, same thing happened. The night after, I turned up, showed my face, gave them my mobile number, and went home. (I only lived ten minutes away.) At four in the morning they rang to tell me I could go home, and woke me up, as I was fast asleep in bed and had been all night. That went on for a fortnight … easiest money I’ve ever “earned”.
That is blatantly dishonest, how could you do such a thing and even more so sleep soundly ?
Any one got the number for the transport office?
Might see if there’s any crimbo traction going so I can double bang my wagon. I tried ringing them but it’s like a Dan Brown novel trying to get the right dept, I did call in on a Satday but the security bloke said there was no one in from transport, wether that’s BS or not I don’t know, perhaps he just didn’t like the look of me.

True, but if they are that stupid to let him get away with it…make hay whilst the sun shines
I see that the Perth depot are looking for “drivers” on the min. wage. Also owner drivers on £750,00 per week OTE.I will give it a miss though.Does the Sun really shine in England at 04.00 A.M.?

Which rule says they can’t use new drivers ?
As much as I think some of the people in the transport office at Yodel Wednesbury are cretins, you seem to have a serious grudge against them.
Nine out of your eleven posts have been to slag off Yodel Wednesbury people, seems a bit pointless to me to be honest.
you will keep seeing adverts for drivers in via nds because they can’t get let alone keep the drivers.

Did you once pass your c+e driving test? and did you then start driving them for a wage? Why is it that no other new driver should be able to earn money? Anyone with a licence should be able to do the same as you did when YOU passed your class c+e. I cant believe what i am reading i thought that all drivers were on the same learning curve whether theyve just passed or had their c+e for donkeys years
right schofield, every one is ■■■■■■ off because the entire operation has dramatically changed, two and a half years back it was all run on a personal/intermat level now that’s all gone all jobs planned by the control tower in a separate office with no geographical knowledge what so ever if there is a over time run it will be a late morning Finnish with no break times planned in to the run that is normal for most runs you are given a printed off sheet from a computer all the times are out a mile you will be running late before you have left most of the time if you stop in a lay by they i on a cretin job will phone you up even if you are on break and empty and two early for the customer so not allowed in. and on top of all this crap we have a to take wage cuts so if working for nds agency i would totally say avoid like the plague they have cut the rates again several weeks back and a lot of driver worked saturday and sunday two weeks back and when they got paid the then found the week end rates had been cut yet again this is on top of two pay cuts week work and week end if you phone the wages office you get a negative attitude and a load of bull they are criminals .
nds yodel wenesbury advise steer wall clear avoid total cow boy out fit if the f…k the wages up which happens a lot they then pull a fast one by not issuing pay slips hoping you won’t notice sum drivers have been owed as much has £120 for weeks and they just get the run around. TOTALY AVOID NDS JOKERS.
Work is 100 yards down the road from yodel and some of the stories about runs and lack of being paid is enough to steer clear in the winter your ankle deep in mud just walking in the yard.
Did 1 day on agency got handed a scrap of paper with a postcode on it asked the name of where I was going got told"its on the paper" only a postcode they said your a driver go find it.
How about you go find it gave em the scrap of paper back and went home cant find somewhere if I dont know what im looking for bunch of cowboys.
Jeff
that’s bang on jeff and sum of the post codes are out a mile if you are going to clipper they tell you it’s tesco so you are looking for tescos when tesco is the customer
Brilliant!
NDS yodel it’s now biting these morons on the arse after messing drivers about with there money they are now struggling to get drivers to cover shifts, a dog will all ways turn.
yodel is in trouble any way.
