I wanted to leave it and his troops started then with lies, one of whom is a mod and should of known better. I accepted the negative replies and as I’ve said already and people keep missing it’s given me something to think about. The rest was unnecessary and I’m fed up with the lot of It. I’m not quite sure what you mean by “these who seem to ‘think’ they’re better then me,” but it seems to me that they are far better than you in terms of their experience as LGV drivers. That’s NOT a dig at you, it’s simply a fact.
You write stuff on a public forum, but then you seem to get upset by some of the responses.
Please don’t forget that some of the folks on here have been in the industry for many, many years. It might simply be that your expectations are a little out of kilter with the ‘norm.’ That’s not saying that there’s anything wrong with your opinion, cos you’re as equally entitled to your opinion as the other posters are to theirs. If you look back at your posts on this topic, you’ll see that your expectations appear to differ quite markedly with the advice and answers offered by the majority of posters.If I might offer you a friendly tip… please consider what you’re going to post before you hit the ‘submit’ button.
If you ask a question, you might get a diverse response, but then it’s up to you to evaluate the replies.
If you make a ‘newbie’ statement about your expectations, then you’ll likely attract a different type of answer. Just a thought.

first of all, how was i trying to be a clever [zb]?
i asked a simple question that had been left unanswered from the thread about it, i had not asked the question before, as you say i had!
secondly, you are correct, you should not have bit, but you did, more fool you! Don’t ask questions on a public forum if you might not like the answeres that are given!
as for “my troops”? who would they be then? i fight my own battles, i do not ask anyone to fight them for me, and i certainly have not asked any mods to do anything on my behalf

Seriousely though dont you think the whole I’m better then you ■■■■ is worn out by now ? I for one accept most people are better then me in one way or another, e.g most on here are better then me at trucking as they can drive artics where as I cant yet, but does that mean there better then me at football or driving in general ?
Point everyones got faults in one way or another, mine being I have been told I have a short fuse yet I hold it in these days, and I learnt to bite my tongue (must be getting old )

Oooh boys, you seem to have wandered off track a tad…, No you shouldnt work sat for just a night out money, however you dont, in my opinion deserev lets say a full days pay for a few hrs, you deserve a few hrs pay, very often in this job, the plans which make sense on paper go ■■■■ up, so when that happens you should be prepared to roll in on a sat, for a night out and however may hrs it takes you. thats it, im done good luck. girls stop bickering !

I get ■■■■■■ off about some of the questions people ask, but times are changing, what was normal and acceptable even five years ago isn’t any more, it’s always been the same, I used to moan about, say, driving a Bedford KM, my Dad used to laugh at me, saying I was lucky to have a rubber seal around the windscreen, my Dad used to moan about driving an Atki with a flip up windscreen, my Grandad used to tell him he was lucky to have windows, my Grandad used to moan about not having any windows, my Great Grandad used to tell him that he was lucky he didn’t have to stop and feed his charge
Some drivers are cab happy and would sleep out for any reason, others want to be home every night, some will do nights out when they have to, they don’t like it, but they do it, others will point blank refuse. I myself have refused a run that requires a night out, in fact I packed the job in over it, but I’ve also been tramping in Europe and once spent 13 weeks out of the UK, obviously I have no problem being away, yet I still refused to do that night out, so which category do I fall into?
