Worst Company to deliver to?

Thetaff:
Any morrisons RDC gets my vote.

Or lidl in enfield.

With you on this one taff morrisons Burton latimar few years ago now though 4 hours from start to finish and I was on time nackered my whole day up can’t imagine it’s got any better

Olympic Site, anywhere.

5 Hour wait for a single box. It was an extractor fan that got left off a previous pallet.

One Stop - Brownhills at about 7pm when their yard is full of their motors and trailers, luckily haven’t been there for a few years now is it still open■■?

CWS (coop) wellington, time stands still…governments change…new road tax+test’s expire…you miss your kids growing up…

Ocado, Hatfield.

Amazon, Dunfermline.

And Amazon Marston Gate.

RS Components Nuneaton.

How about saying what it is that makes it bad exactly?

I’d rather drop at an RDC that lets you stay in your cab for a 3+ hour turnaround than goto another RDC with over the top H&S rules that don’t even let you anywhere near your own wagon…

I object to being crammed into some outside loo alongside some Rab C Nesbitt lookalike sprouting unintelligible ■■■■■■■■ across from a foreigner whittling a piece of pallet with a Spetsnaz knife and some catweazel the other side with terminal ming…

Gotta hand your keys in - but not this!.jpg

I’m paid by the hour, but don’t like to suffer during those hours. Give me 3 hours in my cab to 30 mins in the portaloo any day. :imp:
Worst place so far: Didcot during a weekday. Perhaps you can hide there at night, I dunno.

Doesn’t make sense to me that you have to tip some pallets at goods in then unload about two or whatevers left at goods out, thats at the Marston Gate never been to any other amazon DC.

I wonder how long it will be before hauliers collectively boycott a company for
taking too long to tip.

Hauliers need a name-and-shame web site and, without more than 2 weeks notice, boycott
one RDC. They must be committed to this, and only do one at a time, and only for 2/3 days.

I reckon, within a week, there’ll be some warehouse managers out the door, and a better
service.

It may take a while to get the message across, and it may cost a bit in lost business, but the longer-term
results should make it worthwhile.

Hi guys, just thought I would try to get your thoughts on the worst company to deliver to?

I went to Toys R Us in Coventry yesterday with three pallets, they were 9 am deliveries, got there at 9.10 and spent 30 minutes on the gate trying to find a booking reference for then finally got to the goods in and was told I would have to wait behind two other trucks as I was 40 minutes late, Still waiting at 11.30 and now missed a 10, 10.30 and 11am timed delivery.

Asked goods in mananger if he was planning to unload me anytime soon to which the reply was “you were late in so you can wait another hour or take them away, Either way I dont give a [zb]”

So finally pulled out at nearly 12 loosing almost three hours.

Needles to say Toys R Us are not on my top ten for Christmas cards this year.

Madguy :imp:

I used to love delivering there, I could take an 8.00am load in at 6.00am, be out by 7.00am, nip back to Rugby and hook to the 1.00pm load and be empty by 10.00am, the rest of the day was mine on full pay.

Worste here ?
Crest paper in Trenton NJ, Backed down a slope to the dock and as it was so steep the back pallet of paper fell on the dock, as a guy helped me pick up the cartons his boss shouted “Leave him to do it himself, it’s his problem to unload and not yours”
I stopped everything and said “if he isn’t helping or unloading then the load can stay on the trailer” and walked to the cab, climbed in and turned on the TV, it was 3 hours before they gave in and set about unloading me and I never lifted a finger after what he said. As I collected my notes he said don’t hurry back, I said I would never be back and never did.

I cant say this every time as they can be jeckyll and hyde but any iceland has tye ability to be a total joke…also its a lottery but they seem to have employed more than their fair share of arrogant idiots on the booking in desk… especially hitleress at warrington frozen pod

Stupid phone double posting :grimacing:

Celsa Cardiff or Sims Avonmouth. Starter for 2

I’ve heard that people are still missing having gone into Celsa Cardiff in 1997 for a collection.

Collection at Hovis Wigan for Tesco. Bays are stupidly close together, u gotta drop your trailer and lock it off then wait 5 hours for roughly 10 pallets…

Any bidvest, 3663 or bookers or whatever they call themselves nowadays with Banbury taking the complete biscuit!!

Waitrose, Snelshall, M/Keynes won’t let you in 15 minutes before booking time & if you’ve got 2 booking times say 09.00 & 15.00 they make you leave site then come back/not before 14.45.
Not too bad for us as we are local, but a pain in the arse for people coming from a distance.

I vote for everyone on here to go to any big supermarket & fill the biggest trolleys up with perishables, then when you get to the checkouts in the Que tell them they are too late for your booking time, then abandon the trolley & walk out !

Also the health & safety needs attention, the trolleys don’t steer in a straight line, the beans are stacked dangerously & might fall off the shelf, the alcohol makes me do funny/dangerous things.
Oh ! & I would like reversing alarms & beacons fitted to all their trolleys & stillages to ensure a safe shopping experience.
