dont see why its wrong to help the unemployed - shall the people who want to work stay on the dole and claim benefits which add up to much more than paying for the course
a lot of the people on here are so bitter and mean
for the people who said they have worked or work in crap jobs etc - sod that. life is too short.
i have never done a job longer than five minutes (literally) if i couldnt stand it.
i have been self employed and had long hour jobs but then i looked around and saw all the dole people sunning themselves on the beach, going on holidays whenever they want, having lots of things i couldnt afford or have the time to do them. i thought what the hell is going on here. something is wrong. so i joined them.
signed on for a number of years and done more in my life in those years than i did in the working years. dont knock it till you try it.
i intend to do some driving for the next few months to see if i like it. it may be the people i dont like if most of them are as bitter and twisted as some on here.
if not at least i didnt pay for my licence so will see what else the jobcentre can do for me.

There are plenty of jobs at the job centre. Take one, work all the hours you can and save up.
Then you could fund class 2 yourself. And work hard again, and save up for class 1.
And you can then join a truck forum, and be called bitter and mean by a scrounging prick. Just a thought…

It seems that I needn’t have bothered and just signed on the dole for a while as job centres are now paying for both tests no offence to anyone that takes up the offer as why wouldn’t you, but I graft hard to pay for this and it just annoys me

Ask the job centre to fund anything these days when your the older guy and you’ll find yourself pretty much screwed, funding is generally geared up for the school leavers and the younger guys …or is this a north / south divide thing …
As it stands the job centre will only consider funding the class 2 if there is a guarantee of a job from an employer

Not you mate I’m FULLY with you in the whole issue, think its disgusting that its funded and not payed back.
But there are definitely a few on here I’m sure are just on day release, laying bait, as the DWP really don’t just give it out, its classed as a LAST RESORT and you have to have 3 guaranteed jobs in writing.
