I drive a xf 105 460 space cab which i like but given choice the new actros giga space wud be top of list.scania wud be at bottom horrible over priced crap
Scania 111/141/113 and 143, they all run and made money and were so easy to repair, not that they broke down very often.
And the best ride was Pauline from Peckham !!! Happy Days.
For the agency job I do ATM:
“Trolley dolly” work into Tesco/Sainsburys stores NOTHING would touch a Renault Premium 460DXi
Very happy with my FH480 Globetrotter XL with I-Shift, would like to try the new FH when it’s in production.
Wouldn’t mind a go in something with an Eaton twin, just for the experience not everyday though.
adam1987:
Volvo 750 with all the bits and bobs on with a nice paint job
If I had the money id buy 1 remove the fifth wheel and use it as my daily run about lol
Or a 8 legged awd kamaz across Siberia

Hino. You can stick the electronic auto carp where the sun don’t shine, i want an old school lorry with a real gearbox and a effective engine brake again and they’re as rare as an Essex virgin.
Second choice would have to be Volvo FM, the only box designed by lucifer that works right.
I voted gaDAFfi because of the engine breaks, it actually works! ok I know we only drive the LF model but still better than the mercs axor we used to run always breaking down squealy little turbos in back of your head engine breaks that make a noise and seem to make you go faster
oh and they had no power yet only ever ran around 8.5mpg at best!!!
scania all the way. in a actros now. loads of storage space, but noware near as good as the scania in performance.
Not a fan of modern trucks. who the hell decided that they all had to be automatic? The volvo FM I drive is ok for the job it has to do but it’s nothing to get excited about.
I would love to work a Leyland Roadtrain with a big cam ■■■■■■■ and eaton box. failing that, a Bedford TM with an 8v71 detroit.
I have driven about 30 different R series scanias over the past few months, and have come to the conclusion that non-V8 ones with the opticrap box are not worth having, whether 400,420 or 440 there is such a lack- of power when compared to an equivalent volvo that I wonder what they are doing wrong. I don’t rate them.
MAN- good, genuinely hard to fault.
Renault- the work of satan. I’d rather have an ERF. appalling, Premium was the worst truck I have ever driven.
Mercedes- took them a while, but they are good now. axor is not a bad fleet truck for day work.actros excellent.
Daf- good enough, xf or whatever they are calling it now is probably the best cab for living in.
Re The Daf LF comments, I actually prefer the LF to the CF. Didn’t think I’d like it but I’ve enjoyed the ones I’ve had this week. Visibility is better, and as said, the engine brake is pretty good too. For work upto 18t, I’d choose one.
Love a go in a Ford Transcon, and an E.R.F with a 14 litre ■■■■■■■■
Would not enjoy a drive of anything French or Swedish.
A new one.
this was a favourite truck I drove part time when the usual driver was off , my name was on the waiting list for 7 years , did get the job but the old roadtrain had been replaced witha M A N , SADLEY NO PICTURE found yet .
Use to love driving one similer to this Daf on the Habitat contract at Wallingford oxon , mine was f183 jtv ex mothercare then g153 nra .

Who voted for iveco?! I love the new MANs at the moment even though I drive a tesco merc at 49.5mph in the slow lane, only thing I ever overtake is lamp posts.
Iveco is a great vehicle, much better to drive than those lousy Scanias. Hope, Scania will follow Saab and becomes a forgetable part of the history.
I love my Volvo…wouldn’t change it for the world.
I do like the odd Scania though.
I’d happily drive most things provided they are in reasonable condition, I’ve driven quite a few different makes over the years, but I like The FH, and I’d really like a go in the new one.

currently drive a mix of ivecos, cheap and nasty, but i like them.
renault premiums, not bad.
m.a.n, really not keen.
change jobs next month, so back in daf ssc, with a manual so can’t complain. really fancy the new volvo though.
used to have FH with ishift and that was a great drive over here got a Cascadia which I love the extra room I got bould would bite boss’s arm off for a Volvo VN with ishift lol
I would to drive a Mack Titan Prime Mover with a 620hp ■■■■■■■ and 18 speed eaton .They just look and sound animal.
