Which make of truck would you most like to drive?

Nissan GT-R please!

I must admit i do like the FH Volvo …but i spent a long time in a CF spacecab it did the job had loads of room i could stand up in it and im not a short arse leg room was more than generous , the XF 480 was a good tool same again loads of room great bed plus fridge built in, liked old scanias but i wouldnt thank you for any of them cramped for legroom too closed in round your feet, Magnum was a joke for reliability well the one i had was ! but again great for space if your a big bloke.

Got to be a left ■■■■■■ for me! preferably v8 r730 :sunglasses: European only! :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

I had a Volvo FH16 I-shift for a few weeks but couldn’t get along with it  Was a nice truck don’t get me wrong just like my Scania V8 mmm the sound of a V8  hence why iv gone back to a Scania

I would love a go in a yank truck…or an Atkinson borderer.

commonrail:
or an Atkinson borderer.

I thought of an Atkinson, but it’d have to be a Defender unless it had L plates

Chose the new actros for home but over here in the land of the free it has to be a peterblt379. Old fashioned and ■■■■■■■■■■ but ask a 5 year old to draw an American lorry and you get a 379.
For the good old 8 wheel tipper job has to be a Volvo fmx with I shift

Volvo VN or Pete 387

FH on the poll though, newest model. If I wanted to be out all week I could have been driving one by March :frowning:

I voted iveco, currently drive a scania but can’t wait till the end of feb for my nnew stralis to arrive. Had one many years ago and have not found a better truck to be away in all week :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

i’d like to try one of those relatively new Iveco Strator’s think that if scanny had put an computer aided gearbox into their t cab then they might have sold a few more but the scanny system means that you gotta paddle shift up and clutch down what was the point ?

nicest ride i’ve had was an 8 leg volvo FM tipper that O’Gara were running - absolutely beautiful

Would like to drive a daf ssc 510 manual box though !!

Hino.

You can stick the electronic auto carp where the sun don’t shine, i want an old school lorry with a real gearbox and a effective engine brake again and they’re as rare as an Essex virgin.

Second choice would have to be Volvo FM, the only box designed by lucifer that works right.

Scammell Crusader.never been in one,but they look the dog’s danglies!

merc0447:
Id bite your hand off for a volvo with i-shift.

i will second that, and as i drive one full time, i’m a happy bunny

I went out on a 07 ssc daf the other day, manual box,
i loved the space in it, but driving, i will stick with my volvo

dessy:
Volvo FH with Ishift!!

This :grimacing:

Yep, loved mine, but…You’ll have elongated danglies if you get stuck in traffic, holding the clutch down for anything longer than a few seconds was a two leg job.

Volvo FH with ■■■■■■■ signture and twin split or fuller and eaton 2 speed

My preference would be for the Volvo FH with i-shift, bloody brilliant. My worse nightmare would be an Axor, can’t think of a worse pile to end up in!

Keep safe, Paul

A 510 DAF SSC would be nice or a V8 giga space Merc

nick2008:
As long as its a manual

? a haynes manual ? a manual what ? ah a gearjammers truck , for real drivers to drive i suppose , GRRRRR…

i got scania R420 highline at the moment & it’s better than i thought it would be & last one i had was an Fm globetrotter, would like to try the MAN TGS but i’ve voted for the volvo , stick to what i know. got a good driving position , decent ammount of room, I-shift & a decent bunk …ahh i dream of having a decent bunk  well i’d dream if i could get a half decent nights sleep on the scania bunk :imp:
