Whats the most?

Really? A liar? Afraid not. If you haven’t then that’s you. I have done more than 800ks in Europe more times than I could count, and that was legal. I have done many more in a not-so- legal fashion but that doesn’t count, does it…

Suedehead:
A tadge over 800 kms on a 10 hr through France - anybody that says they have done more legaly in Europe is a kin liar.

That’ll be me, then! :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

looks like im lying as well! :unamused:

think i should be put in with the liars as well :unamused:

Suedehead would have been frightened of going too fast through France, in case that Scouse copper on the motorbike pulled him for doing over 80km/50mph.

This Urban Legend has obviously tamed down a bit lately, because the last time I heard it, it was a Scotsman wearing a kilt riding a motorcycle on the Peripherique and targeting only Sassenachs.

Suedehead is right, legally means under the speed limits too, France in the pre limiter days had an 80kph limit so in 10 hrs you wouldn’t have been able to do 800kms when you take into account accelerating & decelerating :open_mouth:

As some have said, in days gone by when Euro plod was more concerned with coffee than fines, many a driver has one hit it to or from the bottom of Italy, Spain or Portugal, but that’s a whole different ■■■■■■■ contest, I reckon I can ■■■■ as high as anybody on that count, but it doesn’t mean anything as my ■■■■■■■ tool doesn’t get any bigger as a result :unamused:

The Canadians will have the biggest mileages, with 13hr driving days & speed limits up to 110kmh it’s possible to do over 1400kms in a LEGAL day, I’ve done that too, it’s not easy but as there is basically no traffic it would be a lot harder to to do 850kms in the UK or Europe.

Here we go then.
How the hell can you do much more than 800 kms on a 10 hr- average of 80 kph LEGALLY, allowing for speed limits, stops at peage blah blah (in those days, used to run a fair bit on the Nationals)
Didnt say that you couldnt do more , weve all done more but not legally ffs

As for being scared of scouse kilt wearing bikers - must admit - youve lost me there.

You lose very little time at a peage if you have a UTA Axxes box (similar to a Dartford Tunnel tag) so you only come off of the limiter about six times a day. I have averaged 87km/h on the trip computer over 10 hours.

Must admit, havent done regular Euro for a while- used to be cash or Caplis cards for France
So you done 870 kms on that card then ?

The kilt wearing thing refers to an urban legend about a Motorbike Gendarme who was Scottish or Scouse depending on who is telling the tale, he was always ginger haired though  Supposedly he hated a hatred for British drivers after he caught one shagging his wife :open_mouth:

Harry, 870 is pushing the boundaries a bit, but it is possible, so it looks like you win the Euro league with that one

Ah well. That means it will have been a Jock wot upset the lawman. Scousers don,t do that sort of thing.  Any way I believe Harry. He doesn,t tell porkies. Tell ,em about the time you took Henry The Eighth,s Codpiece to Moscow Harry. They won,t believe that either.

Never managed to make the 800 meself. got to about 780

Yes, it’s all coming back to me now, and you are right. He always had ginger hair. And that bit about his wife. And he always wore a kilt!

I have been fined by hundreds of euro-cops but I can’t remember that one
