My best was from aire. D cerdon France to zeebruge Belgium in 8:40 plus 11 minutes on to the boat to hull, - 773km start 3am - 3 hrs rest on way to avoid morning traffic at Lille. That week set of on Monday vessel hull to zeebruge, change over at arezzo Italy and back up to hull off the boat on sat morning, mount blanc tunnel both ways with avg 18t both ways. Iveco 460 speed limit 90kph.
best single man was just north of lyon to barcelona in may, 842km in 9h57mins driving
on sunday we did Monza to Brackley in 1 hit which was 1439km in 18h 17 mins driving, 20 h 30 min total duty and a 30 minute KFC stop at folkstone off the train
a normal day in europe is well over 700Km on a 9 hour drive, easily done
On uk shifts used to hit at the times over 700km but the traffic in uk is so , so slow. On eu 700+ is a standard day. Zeebruge to Swiss 3rd pump in 10, via St. Louis , zeebruge Freiburg de train in 8:30. Hull Manchester … About 3 due to carefully driving ones 50 mph on 2nd , 3rd lines. :E
About 730km tops for me.

Whats the most mileage (In kms) that anyone has done legally in a shift…My guess is the Euro boys will have the high ones…

In general ‘legally’ it would probably be pre limiter UK trunking because that was under the combination of the highest truck speed limits in Europe and the same hours regs.In my case it was two return runs from West London to Bristol or Leicester which was around 120 miles x 4 and sometimes return runs to Killington Lake on Scottish change overs when the lazy zb was running late which from memory was a bit more than that.
Did over 800 kms, just over 500 miles in one shift a few weeks back, Markham moor to Glasgow to Blyth services, a66 both ways, put that one down as a numb bum day, no hold ups at all which is incredible in itself in this country
Secretelephant:
Well in Europe at least, as your truck can legally go no more than 100kph (well just under, but it makes the maths easy), & you can only drive no more than 10 hours a day then the max you could possibly do is 1000kms., or 625 miles.
Actually 90 kmh max and there’s a big difference between max speed and average speed.Even running at 65 mph more or less legally in pre limiter UK you’d be lucky to average any more than 80 kmh.
1340 kms for me . Regina to Calgary , trailer swap and into Creston BC . Both light loads and pushing the boundaries but it was legit , highway speeds might’ve been a tad suspect though . Many years ago I might add .

I do about 450km…in a week !!!
I had a week recently where I did 55 hours but only did 60km per day. My personal best
Mid 850’s kms is doable quite easily on a 10 hour drive in Europe- could also possibly on a good run get close to 900 kms a day depending on the route- I have done Amsterdam to Rome in less than 3 shifts , that’s well over 1600 kms, but if you have delays at the tunnel (Frejus) or customs if running Swiss(rarely at Basle but common at Chiasso) then it will knock you back, Telford- Munich was a good two day run - made difficult by the channel crossing, and they were timed deliveries to do them was tight , not in Europe but over here, I guess its around 1500kms which in two days meant going some. Most days you run out of driving time long before you run out of duty time it has also taken me 4 days to do the same trip to Rome when conditions were against me- in the UK with the amount of traffic during the day I would say that 650kms-700kms is a good day- but its been a while since I was out there
Rochester to stranaer 761km at 56max in 10hrs
Bridge of don,Aberdeen to Northampton 765km, mostly 50 to Edinburgh, then mostly 60mph in 9:59
Coming into the 11th hour on my shift ive done a grand total of 40 kms for the day! Yesterdays even better 10 hour day less than 20 kms!
The joys of being on a very local run! although hoping ill be sent further a field tomorrow
Cheers
Jonny
Running Air Freight from Bristol airport doing 15-20 drops to Wiltshire, Gloucestershire Merthyr Tydfil and back clocked up 450km daily while I learnt the job
Then came my Mortimers days. Three trips from Melksham to Venlo return a week at 600km each way and all legal. The most would have been Melksham to Luxembourg at 750km and again legally.
Just done the sums and 2500 miles a week in real money
A new owner driver that I was TM for about six years ago did over 900k’s in a shift. I had already warned him, that as a new operator Vosa would pay him a visit, and they did. He was fined, and with costs ,he had to pay £1,800 at his local magistrate’s court. He still didn’t learn, so I withdrew my CPC . He found someone else to act as TM, but soon went under. Some people just don’t learn.
Used to run fish from Bellshill Scotland to Boulogne sur mer fish market in france in about 816km in about 9h 50 min in a truck that does 89 km per hour and going via the channel tunnel but that’s only possible running at night not really possible daytime with congestion in the uk, also couple of weeks ago started shift in brescia Italy and finished in langres france that was 799km in 10h 00min exactly with 22ton payload.
Its possible to do about 820 to 825km max on a clear run in a truck that does 89/90 km per hour on the empty roads of france and spain during daytime running in a 10 hour driving shift but much more difficult to do with congestion (and overtaking bans) in the u.k Benelux and Germany during the day.
I did 3100 km’s this week, mon-fri
44.31 hrs driving.
when we 1st set up the busniness with the vans 7130 miles in one week
longest run was mansfield/leeds/nuneaton/munich tip /back to mansfield bed
