What is your place doing about Monday?

Monday ? What’s happening on Monday ?

I am going for a bike ride, sometime on the nudist beach, and a very good lunch with a mate .
The beggar better buy the coffee…

I’m not being prudish, but going to a nudist beach with my mate would feel very, VERY weird.

I apologise for my lack of the Oxford comma, but what happens in Swindon stays in Swindon. I hope I have corrected the above sentence correctly. I blame t’ Chardonnay.

I’m off, our depot is open and working as usual, but we are getting full bank holiday rates so I’m enjoying a three day hiatus. I’m thinking two days of practice and qualifying followed by Monday race day when I’ll really go for the drinking race.

Day off , but working all day Sunday

Most of our delivery stores are open from 7am-10am, then closed until 5pm.

We’ve got the full day off.

Also because I’m averaging slightly above my 48hours/17weeks, I’m on an overtime ban next week. And then got my normal days off, fully paid to bring my AVG hours down. Oh, not being deducted from my holidays either.

Result! A full week off. Paid, and not losing my holiday allowance.

Off, no parcels to be delivered in the Yodelverse

Still not sure what the personal benefits are of having this as a bank holiday. Just means people on my usual Monday run are getting their stuff Tuesday as some are closed Monday. At our “right on” place, due deference to Liz Windsor is frowned on anyway, so pretty much a normal day. Life goes on.

Under funding?your clueless, wouldn’t matter if we gave NHS all the money in the world,it’s a broken, wasteful institution,on waiting lists? Currently agency’s are contracted to help, putting in staff and taking over theatres, more than twice the rates NHS staff get, plus travel, food, decent hotels,so much that many of my friends who usually work in Harley Street are on this gravy train now, don’t just follow the ‘underfunded’ tripe put out to try and secure even more money

Well, “if many of your friends who normally work in Harley St” are involved,
I guess I`ll just go back to listening to those people I know, who work in the NHS.

Are there bad financial choices being made in the NHS? Undoubtedly so. In any massive organisation it is inevitable that will be so.

And the over use of expensive agency workers is surely due to a lack of regular staff. Caused by?
Under funding of a regular and adequate work-force. One where there is enough slack to allow for upsndowns.
Not one where remote managers (politicians) search some sort of 100% efficient target.

Under-funding causes breakdowns in systems which then need expensive “fire-fighting” interventions.

Clueless,IE not a clue,NHS is a broken,wasteful out of touch,date organisation,your just clueless full stop

Update on my place… we are closed…

Since the stores are closed at Lidl, Aldi, Morrisons, B&Q etc, and everyone is going to be off work and SWMBO can’t drag you around the shops. There’s no excuse not to go down the pub for a few beers to avoid the relentless media coverage of the event, just hope that they don’t close all the boozers as we’ll be doomed

My local is open 12-12.

The boozers will probably all be open, but they’ll all be showing the funeral on their tv screens

Closed Extra paid bank holiday

Overnight pallets and hazchem isn’t running on Monday at the brown trucks from Devon, milk and spar business as usual.

I’ll be off for a ride on my bike - the roads should be relatively quiet and it’s forecast to be a cool, grey day with very light winds.

Most of Monday’s delivery runs were done on Saturday (at Bank Holiday rates) so everyone’s a winner! Not by me though - weekend working is against my religion.

Doing emergency work at the moment so buggered!

Would of went to Queen lizzy 2nd funeral
