to beattun im A GEORDIE lived in SCOTLAND for 25 years getting deaf now ive reached 51 take care all you truckers im well pleased getting good friday and easter monday off playing on the computer today while my wife is at work wonder what she is going to make for tea when she gets home
The worse road in Britain is ANY road I happen to be travelling on and there is a huge hold up.
I’ve yet to find a good one though its not so much the roads as the volume of traffic using them. Took me 3 hours to get home from work last night, a distance of 85 miles, ok it was the begining of a bank holiday but it’ll only get worse as the summer approaches
Tiger.
Don’t know about the worst, but the M18 is hell of a lot better since they covered the concrete with tarmac.

the worst road is the one that leads me to work and its the best one on my way home
it has got to be the A32 from Gosport to Fareham.
it doesnt matter what tim eof day it is there is always traffic jams on there especially between 0645 and 0930 and then from 1600 right up to 1930. its a nightmare
it’s got a piece of my bumper hanging off it - fell for the “we’ve had bigger than that in here” ( father of a livestock driver I know too!! - thought i could trust him !!)

as ive helped on scene after 2 accidents id say the A702 between edinburgh and abington (luck of the draw)
the a9 if you are a law abiding trucker is an absolute nightmare and a half, more due to the sheer distance between perth and inverness than anything else.
only saving grace is there are plenty of laybys and some dual sections. but even then, if you stick to 40 all the way up there you’re still going to get manic car drivers risking their lives to overtake you and practically every other lorry driver trying to bully you out of the way, then giving it all that as they pass you.
PLUS the number of times you’d have to pull in, it would also take a light year to finish the journey
