Warning light lit, not sure what it means

Did you defect the unit when you got back to the yard or did you leave it for the next poor bugger to do?

So you rock up at a delivery? The truck opens itself up it gets tipped, and you get handed your notes back through the window.

And as for gearboxes, it could be buttons on the dash, a centrally mounted switch or stalk controls. So they all come naturally to you, but looking at the badge on the grille or steering wheel just seems like a ridiculous waste of time?

Would you take the same approach with a tail lift?

You’re a bloody idiot. I do believe you must be immigrant under a new name.

Do me a favour. Get your Lidl bag with your stuff in, empty it into the nearest bin you can find, find some gaffer tape. Place said bag over your head, and attach the open end tightly around your neck with the tape. Please note, this is not an aid to lorry driving, but it will benefit the lorry driving community considerably.

Thank you please.

Youve gone too far. All I asked was for some help.

I’ve gone too far? Jesus Christ you’ve driven on the bloody roads. Let the jury of TNUK decide who has gone further than they should have!

I rang the office. They rang the appropiate person who then contacted me back. He said it was still safe to drive.

I also wrote it in the defect book.

I wouldnt leave it unreported for “the next poor bugger”.

im now thinking its not a windup…surely you couldnt make up pish like that and expect it to be believed? either way it beggers belief…popcorn at the ready for the sunday shift…

i do apologise but i can’t find myself working in a motor and not knowing its make. its probably one of the first things i would notice approaching the truck, even though it is not a part of the walkaround checks. As for the original question, sorry i can’t make my head round what that symbol is

I can only hope that you are winding us up because you are the same op who’s just put diesel in the ad blue tank.

If this isn’t a wind up and you’re seriously telling us you have now been given a truck to drive by a company and at no point did you take any notice of what the make of the truck was then I’m going to suggest you either buck your ideas up or for everyone’s sake give up driving trucks before you do someone some serious harm!!’

It’s quite clear you are not paying any attention to what you are doing and in this game that’s dangerous!

You are certainly not someone I would want working for me and to be honest I wouldn’t like to meet you on the road!

Didnt realise it was part of the driving test to have to know what vehicle it is before being able to drive it!!

Have driven 4 different trucks. I dont need to know what it is - just to know how to drive them.

Just wanted to know about the warning lamp, thanks

So at no point you looked at the centre of the steering wheel either and saw the make glaring back at you :unamused:

So what vehicle did you learn to drive in, I am sure it wasn’t just called a manual gearbox.?
