A truck driver has been banned for watching a DVD whilst driving on the M6 through ■■■■■■■■ I’m not a truck driver and never have been, but this driver deserves everything he got for putting countless lives in danger through his own stupidity!!

Should of locked the the idiot up. I rang a container company the other week and reported a driver for doing the same. I have no shame what so ever. I can tolerate most indescretions, but watching DVD’s is unacceptable.
It beggers belief what he was doing. Here we are on here promoting [or trying] a proffessional attitude to the job and to get more respect from the general public and you get an idiot like this guy pulling a stunt like that.He got off very lightly in my opinion,he should have been locked up and banned for more than 15 months.

I agree with that, completely unacceptable behaviour.
If that driver had been a foreign HGV driver or a car driver he would almost certainly have been berated in these forums.
For some reason I can’t reply in the other thread, I keep being taken back to the index page, is anyone else having the same problem or is the problem my end.
He should have been band from driving for life. At the end of the day we should be setting a good example out on the roads.Its about time we started to get a good image out there?.
