Triple fatality on London's North Circular

SteveBarnsleytrucker:
serves em right. No sympathy from me I’m afraid.

Muckaway:
The Standard carrying reports that the drivers’ family say he made “one little mistake.” Understatement of the year. “Monumental mistake by driving like a ■■■■” is more apt.
Sorry but to crash and burn like that you make more than a “little mistake.” I can’t get the link to upload to the Standard but the victims appear to be of Asian origins; Is it just me that thinks “loud music, tinted windows, car bouncing up and down like wrestler Eddie Guerreros’ low rider?”

“little mistake” to top it off he snapped the point on his pencil

It’s easy to say they got what they deserved when they are just a statistic and a headline in the news. If you were first at the scene and witnessed it I doubt you would all be so flippant with your comments such as “they deserved it” or “natural selection”. Undoubtedly the drivers who were racing were to blame and the foolish actions of the driver cost him and his passengers their lives. It’s also ruined the lives of many others connected to them and for many (truck driver included), xmas will always be a time of sorrow. Bear in mind that relatives and friends might end up reading this thread as it is bound to show up on a google search regarding the accident.

they will of been racing around the corner near Tesco on the A406 or on way home from lakeside
as they was all around lakeside the other night

Drift:
The lorry driver will have been cautioned at the least as it is treated as a crime scene until further investigations.

I feel for the guy.

Why cautioned “as it is a crime scene”? People are interviewed under caution because they are suspected of committing an offence, not “because it is a crime scene”.

Sorry but to crash and burn like that you make more than a “little mistake.”

I disagree - at the speeds necessary to cause that kind of damage, all it takes is “a little mistake”…

Very sad day, but given the idiots that use the North Circular, it doesn’t surprise me.

There are speed cameras all over the North Circular. I wonder why they didn’t save the lives of these folk? After all, we are constantly hearing the mantra that speed cameras save lives. Why didn’t they save these lives then…? :unamused:

speed cameras only detect people driving above the speed limit which may or may not be hazardous depending on many factors. They do not detect excessive speed for the conditions or poor driving standards which are the killers, not speeding itself

Can I suggest you read the following:

by all means suggest it but don’t be surprised by the fact that i didn’t read further than the first line. I really don’t think I could handle that much excitement at this time of day so i will come back to it once the anticipation has subsided a wee bit to avoid over stimulation causing me to not fall asleep

So what?? It’s been said in the press that the car had nitros fitted to it like "the cars in fast and furious"if that’s the case then it’s on his head that he killed himself and his mates for being a prick to fit that ■■■■ to his car in the first place.

Ah good. At least you’re feeling rather silly now!

I merely suggested reading farther so that you didn’t make an arse of yourself again. But, by all means feel free to do so! :grimacing:

Under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) witnesses are routinely questioned under caution.

I’ll probably get shot down in flames for this, but maybe it’s time for a power to weight ratio limit for all cars, regardless of who’s driving them. Too many tossers around who think they can drive.
