He offered to help and you told him to F off? Then punched him? Sounds like your just as much of a ■■■■■■■■■ to be honest.
But I cant help but feel your story is a tad “off” to be honest

Nobody should have to put up with bullying, aggression, or intimidation in the workplace. Sorry but that idiot crossed well over the line when he started talking about turning the matter physical. Do that in a pub and you’d be ejected, do it in the street and you’d be arrested, so not quite sure why people think it is at all acceptable to behave like that in a workplace?
Most people go to work for money, do what it is they have to do, then go home. The o/p is doing exactly the right thing reporting that guy. There are lots of decent drivers out there that know how to behave themselves on other peoples premises.
thank you.the matter is now in the hands of the chiefs.thanks for all the replies…even the ones telling me to ‘man up’! for reasons i won’t explain on here, belting the other bloke is simply not an option i can afford to take!
Half of me wants to say should have stuck in the head on him before he even got to finish the sentence about being in the car park. But on the other hand its no longer the old days where could have a square go, prob all forgiven later on.
Apart from the fact its instant dismal, also good chance police could be involved.
But even apart from all that these days so many complete nut jobs around never know if the guy is suffering PTS or just a complete loon and maybe stab you or smash your head in with a hammer. Sounds a bit far fetched but then again wasn’t there a guy murdered at brake brothers over a ■■■ break in Bellshill and know a shelf stacker murdered another shelf stacker in a store in Aberdeen.
I did a shift for a Somerfields store many years ago, just driving a van delivering stuff to peoples houses, was a skive started at 9am and finished for 2pm everyday because at the time that was the last chance to get a home delivery. Even tho normally finished early may have to work 6pm if there was deliveries to do. The staff were always funny with me eventually someone explained the last agency driver in there had gone crazy when he had to work late, pulled a hunting knife on the manageress had it at her throat then locked her and a few others in the chill then stole the van and proceeded to ram cars in the car park with it before vanishing with the van.
You should have got 5 friends and waited until he left work, then given him a good hiding.
then say " well you did say, i`ll see you outside with 5 mates."
Generally speaking anyone who gives it see you outside are full of hot air if they want to kick off you will get no warning. I’d say nothing and wait until it’s the two of you away from any prying eyes and give him what for.
Its your permanent place of work and you have done the right thing let the boss sort it out,no hard decision in my view the agency fella is an interloper and as such gets the boot, he is only a temporary solution after all.
When things get heated such as car drivers etc. giving me a volley I just tend to blow them a kiss it works wonders especially if they are showing off in front of their bird as they are the ones that start laughing first.
I played a lot of rugby when I was younger 22 years in the front row as ■■■■■■,was in one game where the opposing ■■■■■■ kept boring, butting, biting and the front rows were roaring up nearly every scrum,I had had enough and the next time it happened I planted a big wet smacker on the opposing hookers lips. The look on his face was a picture he was livid but once everyone started laughing he had no choice but to laugh to, and as always it was a subject of much merriment in the bar afterwards when everybody shook hands and shared good natured banter and a drink. Great game rugby.

I’d like to say I’ve been on trucknet for a few years now and I find that you are always quick
to cuss agy drivers. Please could you stop because most of us are just trying to earn a living like you
and it not good to tarnish with everyone with the same brush.
you wont get anywhere georgeskin with your post cos these AAMs[anti agency muppets] are like little children, they never act their age only their shoesize,as I said before sad little men

I’ll never forget that first kiss darling …you had such lovely soft lips for such an ugly barsteward…I often think about you on my lonely nights out
Use your phone to video him ? What are we children ,
You made a rod for your own back, could have been settled at the very start,if ye were laughing at him man up and tell him ,if ye were not should have told him so .problem solved .But if ye was talking and laughing about him be a man and face him.
Whatever way you look at it you could have sorted it either way .

today a fellow driver (he agy,i’m company driver) thought that 3 of us were laughing at him.he demanded to tell him what we were laughing at,i couldn’t be bothered talking to him,as he’s as loud as [zb]…so he started verbally abusing me and said i’ll be outside in 5 minutes.he’s the sort who’ll be bellowing about it tomorrow,if we’re about at the same time.what should i do…try to ignore him,or report him asap? don’t want to get anyone the sack, but don’t want to get involved with him,or get involved in any fisticuffs,as instant dismissal
Well don’t do what I did. Co-worker got verbaIly abusive at me and when I tried to laugh it off he threatened me, so I knocked the ■■■■■■ out, and I got the sack!
As much as I dislike it, I agree with Kenny. You cant even do it in the Army these days so in civvy street you cant afford to open your mouth if you value the place you are working at. I would personally tell him in no uncertain terms to Foxtrot Oscar and ignore him. If he is a windbag then he will move on since he is getting no reaction from you. If he really does have a problem with you then you can deal with it outside work if you choose to bother
Making allegations without evidence can backfire so be careful with that one. Management are well aware of workplace politics these days and they are best avoided if possible
Hi,
I got fed up reading the replies after a while, seems like half the guys on here are just as tough, telling you to man up and such like, most of them will be the ones on the diesel pump planting seeds for others to sow because they dare not, just make Management aware then let them monitor/deal with situation, as you have done.
