^^^^^^
Yeah I eventually got back in yard about 4 ish from 5 this morning, finished at 5pm, so a longer Saturday than usual.
Couldn’t be arsed to wash off, cleaned cab out in the hope the next driver will afford me the same courtesy, and parked motor up.
Then wife rang me on way home to tell me she had put steak on for tea, and she had a coffee ready for me…good lass.
Then a mate rang and asked me if I fancied meeting him tomorrow to watch football in pub…so heading for a shower, putting shorts and flip flops on, and then a beer on the sofa in front of tv.
All good so far…maybe treat my Dad to breakfast in morning.
Weekended in Lee, Mass. Right in the middle of the Berkshires. Some money in this area!!
Staying at what the yanks call an “Inn”. Big old house standing on about 10 acres. Now has about 10 bedrooms. We are staying in a cottage in the grounds. The house has been fully occupied by a small wedding party and we got invited to a pre nuptial cheese & wine evening on Friday.
Seen a few of these on the road, any idea what they are ?
@md1987 yep spot on. Illegal in my country and probably yours too.
Over 2.5 metres wide and Tesla refuses to make lighting compliant. Blinkers here have to be amber, not red or white.
Fri fence painting , decorating bedroom , did shift swap so worked sat ( tesco reading etc ) & got next Thurs off for hospital scan , sun ( today ) on way to sainsbury dartford ( break at toddington s/b as 10 am booking at sains so hours early )
Panzerskip, they must be the biggest turkey in American history, fElon has been renting airport parking lots to store them as the 500000 sales he predicted turned out to be nowhere near with a few thousand sales a year.
They’re banned in the UK & the US army has banned military personnel from importing them into EU/UK bases. A lot of these cyberturds have been turning up in ‘X’ & SpaceX car parks so he’s been selling them to his own companies.
Laundry day for me as it’s 8 hours of half price leccy every Sunday 09:00-17:00 on this British Gas tariff, Cars on charge & the pork chops are in the oven.
Today is going not so great , got to delivery tobe told that booking is for 10am tomorrow not today and told foxtrot Oscar, so just made a phone call to useless weekend guy who’s now calling duty planner
Problem is Ive got a box in yard ready for tomorrow so I’m not making the decision ,
If they had sense I would find a TS and park up till tomorrow but I bet I drag it back from Northampton to Southampton
Oh well card is in and I’m getting paid
Yep the Cybertruck was doomed from the drawing board (etch-a-sketch). The lights do not conform to UK and EU standards. The corners are too sharp for Cert of Conformity, the weight would mean a LGV licence is needed.
I am amazed that it is legal in the USA to be honest. I remember MGBs etc being redisgned with plastic/rubber bumpers instead ot the chromed steel ones. Strange…anyone wouod think that legislators were more concerned with pleasing rich ■■■■■■■■ than making roads safer!
On topic, after cleaning up my 4x4 after a trip (a layer of fine powdery dust all over the inside) I have been tinkering with the inside if it, again. Changing the storage of spares, tools, and especially coffee making gear. A does of bleach is sitting in the water tank at the moment too. That will have to be pumped out before we get a frost…if we get a frost this year!
Halfway through the laundry & the washing machine goes belly up , Can’t say I’m surprised though as it’s needed a “Fonz” style smack to get it going for a while.
Well I’m now parked up till tomorrow morning and retry delivery at right time as had call from one not so happy director , and he said what I was thinking rather than drag the box back to yard and do Mondays job , park up and deliver this one at the right time .
Love to be a fly on the wall in main office tomorrow morning
Seen about half a dozen of those Cybertrucks in the last two weeks. Apart from the one in the photo I posted they have all been black with dark tinted windows, can look quite menacing:enraged_face:
Moving on to Saratoga tomorrow then into Finger Lakes region in Upper New York State.
LOL I still do as old habits die hard. Nobody seems to do free installation & take away the old machine any more, Most of them did it free when I bought the old one. I’ll get my brother to give us a lift & put it out front for the scrap man & I can install it meself & save £55.
I’ve ordered one off A&O, it’s a brand new discounted one as it’s got a small dent on the side, It’s hidden, so I’m not bothered & it doesn’t affect the warranty.
Just got back in, missed breakfast, so wife had a ‘‘Brunch’’ ready for me, mushrooms tomato and egg on toast.
She’s later making a roast chicken dinner for supper, so may give pub a miss and watch football at home…didnt fancy a skinful of beer today anyhow tbf.
Lutterworth , I don’t like playing sardines at Red lion
Cafe shut but I’m eating steak ,already eaten mushrooms
Being a cab rat today as got lurgy brewing and trying to catch up on ZZZZs later
