No. You are ebtitled to hold, and express, any view you have on immigration.
However, Bulldog, and some others, believe that people whose skin colour varies from theirs by more than one or two shades are in some way “inferior”
I`m sure Bulldog would be the first to declare that white people are in some way “superior”
And so his messages get deleted. Its not about “political correctness”, it`s about “correctness”

I am normally a foreign driver in a foreign country, Although language difficulties can cause problems, why should I have to take some kind of test?I dont know anything about people in Holland having to learn the culture and language when there is a small Indonesian community there.

Wheel Nut as a visitor to these countries you are not expected to learn the language and understand the culture however if you wanted to go and work their then yes i would expect them to have every right to test you on their culture and have a reasonable understanding of their language.

I think it too much to ask!!
Not many British drivers who work in france/germany/holland add anywhere to the list speak the mother tounge of the country they drive in, so why should our visitors have to speak English??

I do want to bring the subject up again on foreign drivers in our country.I have been warned about my own personal beliefs and predidices so i will try to tame it down.
Alli’d like to know is if any other drivers like me think that immigrants should be put through some sort of test to see if they are willing to adapt to the English way of like before they are granted stay in this country. Like they do in Holland. They have to learn the language over there and learn about the Dutch way of life before theyr’e allowed to stay in the country. Shouldn’t we do the same here before?Is this such a bad thing to ask?
The original post mentions foreign drivers and immigrants , i was replying to the facxt that immigrants should have a knowledge of our country and of our language not foreign drivers.

Well Jammy as a permanent resident of an African country with a permit to reside & work, I wasnt asked to demonstrate any knowledge of the 3 main tribal languages or of French which was used in Business.
I understood a little about the shared religion, 50% Muslim and 50% other local religions which included Christian. So as i said in my original post, If I dont need to take any tests to live and work in Africa, why should a foreign truck driver with the correct licence have to do so in the UK

What part of Africa is Derby then?, i thought it was near Nottingham but im sure you can prove me wrong.
Is this African country you mention as small as the UK and its it as appealing to other nations who are swamping (yes i said swamping) its shores?.
I never understood anything about Islam nor did i want to but living in Britain it seems that as part of my life now i must have sympathies and understandings towards it and God ( or should i say Allah?) help anyone who criticises it.

You may be british and proud of it, but I am British too, I have worked in & visited many places in the world. I dont spout rubbish about something I know nothing about.
We kept pigs in our little African garden, We kept Rabbits and Chickens too, they all were kept for food. I drank beer & scotch whisky at the local bar and we had bacon sandwiches for breakfast. You seem to think that all muslim countries don’t allow pork. It is only a devout muslim who doesnt eat pork.
There were also many immigrant workers in my African village too, who operated small businesses and had come from the Lebanon.

From a Scotsman and having a deep belief in never forgiving the English for the history they have with us.I will always hold a grudge against them but whoa betide anyone who tells an Englishman he cant fly his flag with pride above his castle, then cometh the day i fly the England flag over my house.
It will hurt me but NOONE will ever tell me or my English cousins that their national flag may cause prejudice and encitement to someone who has come here from another country, i will fall before they take away my pride.
As for spouting rubbish that i know nothing about Ok i havent been to many of these undemocratic islamic states you have but maybe you should try Leicester for a couple of years and walk down the street where the mosques are and realsie that as a British citizen there are some places in your OWN country that you are not welcome, i have seen the hatred pointed towards me and Siekh friends just because we dont have the same religious point of view as them.
