Wheel Nut:
And the appeal was dismissed, twice!!!
Contraflow:
Get a life mate this can happen to anyone and unfortunately it frequently does.(see below) Plus what have the photos got to do with the original post.
Not really worth showing these because they are not Stobart trucks so not worth a dicussion. S–t happens.
Did they do a drugs test and an internal ■■■■ examination at the court case? You keep banging on about a tribunal, the court case was dismissed. Why has this raised its head again, you have no new evidence or a stronger case, you just seem to have some very bitter reasons to slate Stobart at every turn.
This Ross blokes strikes me as a complete fruitcake
moomooland:
Ok let me just add this before this thread gets locked.I have been a Class 1 driver for just over 36 years now.
As a regular night trunk driver i have to say that some of the driving by Stobart drivers leaves a lot to be desired if not down right appalling.
Some pull out in front of you without any indication what so ever, some are on the phone wandering from lane to lane and god forbid you should come along the side of one at a slip road and don’t pull over they go berserk flashing their lights when you have nowhere to go.
I could go on but my latest encounter takes the top prize.
The other night heading North on the M1 in the 16 mile section of road works between Junc 28 and 31 we have Mr Stobart in the middle lane refusing to move over and let any other HGV pass.
After about three miles myself and a number of other drivers in the queue behind me all went up the inside, much to Mr Stobarts disgust, as he was playing at policing the roadwork’s and keeping every one at exactly 50 mph!
And you wonder why they get so much stick on here.
The pathetic TV programme should show the real side of Eddie Stobart but unfortunately the general public will never see any such thing.
So your saying this stobart driver, driving down the middle lane at 50 mph annoyed you and your mates ,I know which lane I’ll be in next week doing 45 mph
my comments are based on a concern that hgv drivers work very long hours on duty.
Up to 83 hours a week , regularly.
Fortunately for me I have a very good record of safe driving. Its a horrifying thought that these size vehicles are involved in so many accidents.
My suspicion is drivers completely ignore the limits of law.
I can only really go off my own experience of a hgv worker.
I believe most accidents are preventable and I think most accidents involving hgv vehicles are caused by intention through fatigue.
Most drivers will deny theyre overworking and just knuckle under.
Unfortunately in this need for greed this is where the accidents happen.
You can see the carnage on the internet.
Ignore what you will the facts are clear.
The road transport working time regulations are not followed.
The uk might as well have refused to implement the 48 hour average.
That’s where this post was added.
All I can see is eddie Stobarts trailers in ditches.
Obviously it’s not just Stobarts.
So speculate what you want about how you shop we drop.
Accidents caused by fatigue.
Non compliance.
Lump it.
they should be on red with vosa but there not so whys that, they never get pulled in
I would have thought the vehicles and trailers are well maintained nowadays
My concern was that working 71 hours in 5 days , the max.
Regularly working so many hours isn’t supposed to be allowed.
Some drivers are knackered and feel they can’t complain.
Stobarts is a regime.
Most accidents arnt caused by defects.
They’re picked up on defect checks.
The high volume of Stobarts run offs are from inattention from fatigue.
But working time isn’t yet investigated fully by the police.
The regulator’s focus on driving regs.
If tacho looks legal then it’s just an accident.
Like the fatal accident Stobarts driver Bulmer had.
Don’t you just love the MAD world of trucknetuk posting,op asks a question about stobart fuel bonus and we’ve ended up with posts on about stobart drivers committing carnage on the roads
running into ditches all over the place, running bent, vosa needing to get a grip on it all .
Hang um( well at least stick them on a red light)
It really is a laugh a minute on here
Just amazed NATO hasn’t sent the troops into the depots too put a end too it all

Ross v stobart:
Oh deary deary me.
Another Stobarts crash.
Almost a daily occurrence.
I’ve heard it all before.
Maybe it was a steering fault.
Maybee the drivers seat collapsed.
Or did the chassis collapse.
What could be the reason for all these crashes.
Or is it fatigue from overwork.Ross v Eddie Stobart was a case lasting 4 years and was about how this haulage operator is as bent as Uri gellas t spoon.
Work time evasion.
A criminally offence.
Stobarts are the leaders in evasion.Unfortunately crashes and fatalities are just a side effect of evasion.
Half of the industry is at it.
Just like thieves
Grabbing what they can before it changes (if)
Ive said this before.
Hgv drivers are muppets and dont have a clue.Check out my
Lets close stobart down on twitter.
Ross v stobart
Your gonna hate it.Bye bye old school your days arr numbered.
Thank god.
Bring back safer roads
Wow. Seriously? For the love of god, get a life
Ross, even your working hours do not make sense. Where do you get 71 hours from every week?
The contracts on offer at the moment are 12 hour shifts, or four on four off, it doesn’t make any sense what you are saying.
Tell us where you think you are right, give us an example shift pattern that you have a clue about.

Funny that Mr.Ross, from what i read the case was about your dismissal . They alleged you where obnoxious and difficult. You alleged they’d made you exceed your working hours (amongst other things) by having to attend work and sit there and not work. Comedy genious !!!
Did you ever get the fuel bonus or did you get some sort of rebate because you sat around the depot so long without turning a wheel ?
Company I work for do fuel bonus and it’s £7 a day easily acheivable and it all adds up when it comes to the end of the month
No that’s what happens when ye put a bloody idiot in a truck. Been at Stobart now for 9 yrs easiest job I’ve had, try working for family then you will see what hard work is. As for the bonus only time you won’t get it is Inside the m25 ( ye they should make allowances but hell what firm would)

happysack:
Is for cruise control, braking, green band and idle time. I think.
scania completed a download weekly on our trucks to see where the drivers can improve, its all about getting the best fuel consumption from the truck,so if you save the company £50.00 a week in fuel they might give you a fiver.

I think stobbs are a bit to big to run bent there will be a lot of stobbs trucks in accidents because they are the biggest in uk.

Really? I think a few companies may take issue with that.
