Must drivers get paid somewhere between £7.00-£9.00 ph for day work. i’m always suspicious of drivers saying they earn they earn £10.00- £12.00 ph for day work.
Never understood why a driver would lie about what he earns.

Me neither. I can honestly say I earn almost £12 ph. Trunking for trolley dolly’s. It’s day work aswell. Same rate for days, nights, weekends etc but it’s a good rate.

I try not to tell other drivers our hourly rate as they normally reply that lying and i cant be bothered to get last weeks payslip out…i just say im £ 8.50 and then they walk off happy theyre on more than me

700 my bum i get 8 quid time half after 45 double time sundays which are not right often t/h for bank holidays
69hrs 3 nights out take home about 560 without a sunday with a sunday about the same just less hrs in the week.thats how the job is 12 quid an hr normaly means a 40hr week flat which when you work it out aint that good either.720 an hr plus all the hrs you want and meal allowance at stobbies means its not a bad wage for easy work last iheard there tax free meal allowance was about 13 quid

We wouldn’t get London Weighting up here, so that’s another £25 off, also, I’ve no interest in nights, so that’s a few quid off too, but still seems like a competative weekly rate to me.
We are on the princly sum of 8.33 p/h right through. Often talk to people who say they are on about 9.00 p/h, but they dont get paid for there breaks, so if you drive for 10 hours you lose 1.5 hrs or 13.50 so based on a 13 hr day mr 9.00 who wouldnt get out of bed for my 8.33 is actually doing it for under 8.00
If I do 5 12hr shifts my top line is 500 quid which to me ain`t that bad in this game.

we didnt catch mate they used to pass them up to us and we crated them anyway get me a job there
